SAFAVIEH Area Rug 8' Round - Natural Fiber Collection - Large - Natural & Black, Seagrass, Basketweave Pattern with Border (NF114C)

I am really surprised at the quality. I paid $35 for this in the 3x5 size. It’s worth way more imo. I bought it for my entry way. I’m living in a rental and the quality of the “wood” flooring (actually crappy mdf or pressed cardboard, like theee worst flooring material you could imagine) in my house is awful. I bought a huge area rug for my living area to cover the crappy floor but I have two dogs, 3 kids and a construction working husband constantly in and out. I didn’t want my new beautiful rug to get destroyed, and trust me, if you could only see the amount of dirt they track into this house!! It’s insane! I needed something durable and able to trap dirt etc to stop it from getting tracked further into the house and onto to my beautiful new area rug. The first rug I bought for the entryway was beautiful.. at least on the Amazon listing. Big blue monstera leaves for the pattern, advertised as an entry rug, among all the other uses. I was really disappointed when I opened it. If you look at my Amazon profile, you’ll find the reviews of that rug (and of the new area rug) to see for yourself. The pattern was printed onto the top of what was a very flimsy, albeit soft, nonskid rug like something you would only use for staging or decor. That rug cost me over $40 3x5. I immediately went back on Amazon and ordered this. It came securely packaged in a roll, wrapped in plastic, taped, wrapped tightly in more plastic, and taped again. I was very happy to see how it was shipped because I’ve ordered rugs before that came shipped in a roll with no plastic protection, like literally just slapped the shipping label right on the rug. I unrolled it and the end was curled which is expected. I walked away to find something to find something heavy to set on it to help flatten it and by the time I came back it was completely flat lol. It is rough on the feet which is exactly what I was looking for to help trap the dirt. It doesn’t hurt and it isn’t unpleasant to be barefoot on. It is real natural material and extremely well made with a thick fabric material securely sewn on the outside border. I am so pleased with it that I ordered a second one and the same size so I can set one in front of the entry for my garage door where I keep the cats litter box. I have been looking for a litter box mat and realized this couldn’t be any more perfect for that purpose, and is literally lightyears better (and cheaper) than litter box mats of the same size. I am going to buy a third for right outside my front door too, and may buy a runner to go under patio furniture I have under the awning on the narrow walkway in front of my house. It’s beautiful and extremely well made.

Very nice quality. Lays flat. The large weave makes it hard on the feet but I’m using as a door mat for my back door so that doest’t matter to me. Looks great.

The quality of this rug is great. The color is what I was expecting. It laid down flat unrolling perfectly except the one end that had been rolled to the inside first. But all I had to do was wrap it up by hand in the opposite direction a couple times and that took care of that. I’m only giving it 5 stars because I was not expecting it to be so rough on my bare feet. This surprised me because some of the reviews I read so it ok walking on it barefoot. I’m assuming those who said that must have had some rough callouses going on or something, because it certainly is not pleasant for me bare feet. But I’ll keep it because it really looks great.

Ordered this to replace a more expensive runner and feel like I got an upgrade! High quality. Stays in place. Wears well. Looks great. Will order more for other spaces.

This is very well-made. This rug is not a soft rug but rather durable one. I have this rug in 2 different sizes and both are of high quality.

Nice looking and quality rug however it got discolored on one side after heavy rains. It’s on a balcony. I’d recommend the rug but not for outdoors.

Love the 4X4 round. I am using by the entry door. Its very durable and decorative.

My husband and I have purchased two of these Safavieh seagrass area rugs. A year ago we were staging our previous home to sell and purchased an 8-foot round version to go on hardwood flooring in our dining room. Today a 10-foot square arrived. So after using the round version for a year on hardwood and now atop carpet and receiving a square today, these are my observations: PROs --they look fab on hardwood OR on carpet, in a midcentury modern house (our former home) or a Victorian (our current) --they can take a beating. Our year-old round still looks fantastic after having two dogs, four residents and loads of workmen and company walking on it --they hide most dirt (more on that below*) --they are easy to maintain--gently vacuum when needed and voila. I've never "cleaned" our year-old round --they are mostly natural and feel it. If you want something silky, avoid seagrass. If you want anything but a neutral tannish color, avoid seagrass cuz seagrass does not handle dye, I've learned --did I get across that they look great? If not, let me be clearer than politicians: to me, they look super fantastic CONs --they smell when you first unwrap them, but no biggie. They are, after all, mostly made of grass. The smell goes away pretty quickly, but remember seagrass=grass, so if you have grass allergies, talk to your doc before purchasing --they are nubby, but not a biggie for us. We have elderly here, teens, pets, etc., and have no problems with their texture. Neither do our dogs. If you want to attempt Pilates on the texture, you might want to use a mat. However, we do walk on our rugs in our barefoot cuz we are beach bums --you'll find a few fibers that are sticking out. Again, not a biggie. Lightly trim or let your rug self-correct as you walk on it over time --*Here's the rub and my only true criticism: the 10-foot square that we got today arrived dirty. Overall it looks fine and only someone finicky would notice. Still, I'm pretty bummed. There's soil on the "trim" and on the seagrass itself ... soil I can see. I'm not going to send it back. I will vacuum tomorrow and see how it turns out. (I can't remember if our round version also was soiled upon arrival.) This is the only reason I'm not giving our seagrass rugs a 5-star rating.

Ces tapis sont beaux, et de bonne qualité, ils apportent une touche à la fois simple et élégante, structurent et apportent un côté chaleureux. J’en ai acheté un pour mon dressing à la base, puis un autre pour mon entrée, et finalement je vien d’en commander un xxl pour ma chambre, tellement je suis séduite!

Esta alfombra es de material tejido natural, esta muy bien hecho, el espesor es grueso. El tamaño es de 1.20*.90cm Lo rodea una franja azul misma que es tela de ese color para ambientar rusticamente. Sin duda es un buen detalle que amarás tener en la decoración de tu casa.
