Excellent product. Fits right into my standard tripod. very easy to adjust and holds phone tight. Coupled with the swivel attached to my tripod, you can orient the phone virtually anywhere (but that's dependent on your TRIPOD, not this device).The only issue with this product is that it blocks a fair bit of the phone screen when I'm setting up the camera shot. I have enough access to the buttons to stop and start recording video, but I just can't see all of the screen. There might be another product that allows better access to the whole screen, but for simply setting up and shooting video, this is perfect.I'm editing this review to add this. . .I have a full cover case on my phone that folds over the phone like a book cover. Consequently, I need to put my phone in the holder the opposite way of what you're supposed or the cover folds over the lens. So, I need to let the cover hang down out of the clamp a little.people with a normal phone without a full fold-over case will have no such problems.

This is a well designed, well constructed solidly built tripod adapter. Using this adapter with a tripod when you can makes a big improvement in photo quality. The photos are sharper because there is no possibility of camera movement. Even a slight shake is enough to reduce a bid of the sharpness of the photo.The best feature of the adapter is that you are not depending on a spring to keep the camera secure. To secure the camera you screw down the holder until it is as tight as you want.When I use the adapter, the camera is not centered in the adapter. The reason is that the arms of the adapter would be pressing against the power and volume buttons. But this is not a problem. You are looking at the scene on the phone's screen when you position the tripod so it is easy to photograph exactly what you want to shoot.There are two ways you can screw the adapter to the tripod and the tripod hole of both is perfectly machined.The clamp opens wider than seems possible. My phone's width is 3.25" with case and there is room to spare. If you keep turning you can open the clamp to about 4".

Built well and easy to use. Seems light, but is sturdy and seems like it will get plenty of use. The one I bought had some chips and scratches on the base, but I am using it without the base anyways. Shipped fast and was well priced. I would recommend this item to others.

There are a lot of plastic and metal rod adapters that appear better suited for the task, until you actually use them. Then you can thrill to the minor horror of watching your camera pop out and crack its face on the pavement.This WixGear adapter is a solid performer: even when I have it positioned so that the camera is facing the table or ground (good to know when I'm using my clip-on macro lenses on a tiny subject). It uses metal screws that work with metal threaded shafts, all housed in smooth plastic that feels safely solid. Soft rubber is in the "mouth" of the adapter to provide a firm grip without needing to overly tighten the screws. It shouldn't be going anywhere.What's more, the adapter mouth is deep enough that I can keep my protective case on my phone while using it. So short of trying to fit in one of those overly bulky shoebox Otterboxes, you should have no problem with it.I was so pleased with the first adapter, I bought another for my second phone.

This is exactly what I was looking for! No Springs to deal with oh, this is all screws that hold things in place through tension. Very straightforward and its construction and minimalistic so it doesn't take up a lot of extra space. And perhaps best of all the Jaws are very deep so it can easily hold my note 9 with a big old case on it! I'm going to order a second one right away in case anything ever happens to this one.

I have an iPhone 6Plus with an Otterbox Defender case and it fits. I do have to unscrew the clamp almost all the way but once the phone is in place the the clamp knob is tightened I have no issues. I attached my clamp to a 1/4 inch mount onto a suction cup for my car. The item is plastic but feels durable. Mine doesn't seem flimsy and stays tight. I almost returned it because the turn knob for the clamp didn't seem to want to open up any further. It was just stuck slightly and then I was able to insert the phone. So far so good.

The anti slip grip clamping rubber is pressing down against the voice assistant button (grooved inset) when it's clamped securely to the phone, not a show stopper, I just need to trim out a small area with exacto blade to resolve that annoyance.

I purchased the WixGear Universal Smartphone Holder Tripod Adaptor and it works perfectly with my Manfrotto Pixi tripod.The holder adjusts easily to fit my iPhone 6 or larger phones if needed. There are rubber grips on both sides of the clap so it wont damage your camera.This holder is made entirely out of hard plastic with the exception of the chrome screw that expands and tightens the grip. WixGear also uses a 1/4" brass base adaptor to accept standard tripods.This Smartphone Holder Tripod Adaptor shouldn't be used for attaching to your bike or vehicle. It's only meant to be used with a tripod for taking photos and video. I could easily see the unit and your phone getting damaged if it was used in any other manner.I would recommend this holder to my friends.

This works well. It's a bit wobbly depending on how you have it set up but there are different options to set it up due to the dual part design (so you can make the unit more sturdy by using only the holder without the post).Attaches to standard tripod mounts and the screw tight design hold the phone tight and doesn't give out (unlike some click, push, or some form of spring load type units that stop working after a while).I used this on slide rails, with a tripod, and currently using it as a cellphone holder in my car connected to a GoPro suction cup with a tripod screw attachment.I highly recommend this because it's simple to set up, it can be very sturdy, and can be used in many different applications.

Exactly what I needed! Attaches to my DSLR tripod with the standard tripod screw. The design is good and feels very sturdy. No wobble. The key parts are metal and feel like they will last. I like the rubberized ends on the "clamp" so that it doesn't scratch the phone. The black design is nice. The logo on the back is not intrusive. Works perfect with my Google Pixel 2 XL! The best thing is that it can work with any smartphone (with or without cases) since the width of the "clamp" is fully adjustable. Very happy with this product.

Pros: Securely holds a phone in its grasp - it is not a spring loaded clamp but a screw in clamp that will not fail to hold a phone. The clamp has 2 separate mounting points so that you can choose how you mount to any base that has a standard mount like a tripod.Cons: Not quick to set the clamp (not really) but I have a flip cover on the phone and I tried to put it in backwards cause it was easier but wrong. Take it out of the cover or use a none flip case if you want to use it with the clamp.
