I give this four stars because it is good paint that covers well. I needed to cover a gray countertop in my laundry room, so it did take two coats to do so. It’s not as opaque as you think it might be. I’m taking a star off because the color is very butter like and has a yellow hue to it once dried. I think the sample provided to Amazon could be corrected some. It has a very yellow, beige tone to it. My project needs another coat so I’m going to have to bite the bullet and buy the bone color instead and find something to do with the leftover of that pan of which there will be plenty now that I’ve already laid down two coats.

I tried this paint and I absolutely love it. There is no sanding or prep required and no waxing to use this product successfully. There is virtually no smell so I just put down drop clothes and started painting right where the furniture sat. I wiped everything down with a damp paper towel to remove any dust and I started painting. The paint goes along way and it dries fast. I used about 1 1/2 containers for a long buffet, 6 chairs and large table and a small desk. It goes on easy but I found that I needed to do at least 3 coats. I didn't want any color from underneath to show. I found that the large chalk paint brush works best overall and especially in cracks and crevices. Usually by the time I got done painting the entire piece of furniture it was ready for an additional coat. I wanted the golden silver finish so used a sponge to wipe on Rust-Oleum Metallic Accents in both the Champagne and Gold over the cream color (Manor House) which was more white than cream. I started off painting my buffet table but I liked how it turned out so I did my entire dining room table and chairs and a desk. I put a couple layers of clear coat on top of the dining room table to give it a bit more protection. I did use a dark glaze on the buffet and wiped it off to give it a bit of a more textured weathered look. I don't know how the paint will hold up over time but it was easy to use, easy to clean up and looks amazing.

Although it's really expensive for the size, I felt like it was worth it for what I wanted. I bought this to repaint a desk my sister gave me. I didn't want to "refinish" or try to remove all the old paint. I know, lazy but whatever. I read the reviews on this and decided to take a chance. I am impressed and will probably buy this again when I repaint my kitchen cabinets. I like the finish, it's smooth and covers pretty well. To be fair, the desk was a hideous dark blue and dark red combo, so this (almost) white paint had some work to do. The color is great, and I get the feeling it won't chip or be marked up easily with normal use of my desk

I have been a pro painter for 30 years. This is my all time fav paint for furniture. I use Zep commercial degreaser(use a mask) to prep(that's ALL!!) and paint away. I painted my cabinets 5 years ago with a different very expensive paint and it is chipping off so I found this brand and thought it sounded too good to be true but this is WAY better than any mineral/chalk paint which requires wax on top. I am uber picky about my finishes-don't like semi gloss or satin but tend to like an eggshell for my furniture. This takes 30 days to harden completely before you can scrub hard I have found but it's worth the babying for that long. You can retouch in about 35-40 minutes. This paint is so mild and hardly has a scent. I left my doors on to paint undercoat and ate supper in my kitchen right between coats. I am also painting-stenciling a moroccan tile on my backsplash using this paint. I did use commercial high adhesion primer on those tiles first and will stencil soon. The paint looks great on those tiles. I used the color Polo(dark midnight blue) on my bottom cabinets and sanded the edges to give a rustic feel to the room. It is a beautiful navy which almost looks black but is less harsh. This is my favorite cream color and reminds me of Devon or Jersey dairy cream. Just enough yellow to warm it up from white. My home is from early 1920 and this color was painted on my original pantry built-ins and it looks ORIGINAL! I love this stuff. Please try it. No I am not paid for my opinion. If I sold paint I would sell this paint.

Thier paint is awesome! I have used other colors of this brand and nothing compares. Goes on so smooth with great coverage the first time. Love this color it blended so well for a chair rail in my dining room. I also used this on the bathroom cabinets and such a professional look. Drys fairly quickly!
