First class frying pan
This pan is great, the best small pan for omelettes, scrambled egg I have ever owned. It really is non-stick with a tough surface that needs very little oil/fat to produce excellent results. It is also very sturdy and the handle stays cool enough to use without gloves ect when cooking. All in all I thoroughly recommend this frying pan which is well worth the price.

non-stick requires cooking oil
The first thing I cooked was eggs. What a mess! They totally stuck and burned in the pan. I had to throw them out. Next I covered the bottom with cooking oil and eggs cooked fine. The pan does clean up and water beads up on the non stick.

Lots to love about this frying pan, but clicks and buzzes on induction
Another great kitchen tool from Zyliss. I've left quite a lot of good reviews for Zyliss products (and only a couple of not so great ones), that I wanted to try this pan, figuring that the chances were better than not that it would a great little pan... and it is. Or at least it was when I had my gas cooktop. It was great to cook with on gas, but I now have induction, and that is another story. I would have given 4.5 stars if that was an option - but I had to give a half-star off for the clicking and buzzing it causes when cooking with induction (scroll to What I Don't Like). What I like:-- The pour spout is a great feature that none of my other frying pans have. It comes in very handy!-- The non-stick surface is very non-stick (I always use a small amount of oil or butter for flavor) yet at medium temps, I can still get nice browning on food. The first thing I cooked in it was bread cheese and it did a beautiful job.-- It cleans up easily. I do not put non-stick pans or any of my good cookware in the dishwasher. This pan can go in the dishwasher, but it cleans up so easily, there is no need to use up space in the dishwasher to clean it.-- It works on induction ranges (but clicks and buzzes).-- It's a little deeper than most frying pans - it's similar to the small Calphalon frying pan that is part of Calphalon's stacking set, but deeper than All-Clad's non-stick 8" skillet. -- I like the depth because it makes the pan more versatile. -- Food slips out very easily in spite of the depth. -- Wrist-flipping foods in the pan, if you are as into that as I am - lol, is really easy, too. If you are used to wrist-flipping with shallower pans, you'll have to make an adjustment for this pan, but I didn't find that to be a problem.-- The handle is solidly attached. The whole pan is sturdy.-- The pan is attractively designed. It would look great as a whole set for sure. What I don't like:-- It works with induction, but it clicks and buzzes very noticeably while doing so. Some people do not mind that, but lots do. I'm in the middle when it comes to that, but this one is very much louder than almost every other induction pan I have. The only pans I have that do not buzz at all are Le Creuset, All-Clad Fusion, some Misen cookware, and of course cast iron pans.-- The handle got hotter on my gas burner than my other pans' handles do because they don't get hot at all. It doesn't get hot all the way up, but maybe halfway. Not sure why that is, but it's an extra thing to remember when cooking with it.

As good as any non-stick
I've owned a lot of quality non-stick pans, and this one works just as well. It's fairly lightweight and quite durable. Given how lightweight it is, I was a little surprised at how long it took to heat up. Not a big deal, just took longer than expected. One small detail I like is that it has a pour spout on the pan to easily pour out grease/fat/sauce, etc. - makes things a lot less messy. While I can't see using it much on an 8" pan, I think it's handy to have. The pricing is pretty close to brand name non-stick cookware, which I find quite pricey. I'm curious to know if this pan will last the 3-5 years Hard Anodized Cookware typically lasts? Only time will tell I guess. Otherwise, great pan.

multi-purpose small skillet is pricey but nice
A good-looking, deep, small skillet that can do double-duty as a shallow sauce pan aka saucier. It's solidly built, very non-stick, oven-safe to an unusual (for non-stick) 450F, and best of all has the most ergonomic handle I've seen on a small pan in quite some time.I love the handle. It's distinctively pointy, but the broad center and rounded underside mean it fits your adult hand correctly, and even more correctly when weighted (full). An excellent design for safety and comfort, unlike the weird skinny "fashionable" designs I've seen on other brands. The high-sides make flipping the pan contents a little harder, but combined with the pour spout, make it clear this pan was meant to do double duty as as a sauce pan.Pan is induction safe, although that mean (like all induction pans) it heats up a little more slowly on a non-induction range (like my electric) than a pan with an aluminum core. But it still seemed "fast enough" for me.Pictured: Adult male hand. Pan contains a single Guerrero corn tortilla (5-6" I think).Other thoughts: You normally don't want such a dark pan for sauces (too hard to tell how done the sauce is). On the frying side, a less non-stick pan will make for a better crust and better deglazing. But for a single well-made pan that does both, this one is the one to beat and earns a 5* rating from me.
