The capsules are "vegan friendly", what about the actual product?

My wife and I have been on it for the last 3 years and though I don't have any hard facts, I think it is a good product. I have both dry and wet macular degeneration but have retained 20 - 20 vision in one eye. I don't drive anymore but at least I can see.

Length is approximately 15/16 of an inch and 6/16 of an inch across.
