My ancient cat could not love this more. I bought two (one for each of his beds) and he curls up and just stays there most of the day snoring. I put my hand underneath him and the warmth there was huge. I love this mat. I wish I had known about them much earlier. Highly recommend for pets that are getting old and starting to feel the cold. It turns around a rather worn out bed into a lovely new warm base. There have even been Bed Wars about who gets to have the bed with the self-heating mat in it.

The one I received came in a bag that was open- because the item I ordered was black you could see that a gerbil or something had already been on it before it was put back in the bag and returned. I returned as if I put out for cats and it smells of a different animal they're liable to scent everywhere! I am not sure if the fabric of this is the best- I guess it depends on the animal you have. It feels quite stiff. It might work better for a dog that just plops down and stays in one place or if it was used to line a cage. It wouldn't have worked for where I intended it. At the same order I also oredered Furhaven waterproof and self heating throw blanket for dogs & cats. It's like a really big soft sherpa on one side and soft on the other- I ordered the large one for the back seat of my car and then I returned this item and ordered two of the smaller sizes for the front seats of my car. I feed a colony of cats and some jump in for a snooze- self heating means we all stay cosy in cooler weather.

My old maine coon loves his new bed. He is approx 8k and small is a perfect size with plenty room to spare.

Great product at a good price point. We have now purchased a second one. So glad to have found something that keeps them cozy & warm without the need of batteries or electricity for safety. Their own body heat circulates back to them within minutes AND keeps my furniture fur-free! He knows it’s his and where to sit in the couch. Only suggestion would be to make it more cushioned but overall a fantastic product that’s become essential in our home.

My ragdoll likes to snooze on this during the colder months. I’ll be buying another one for the new ginger cat in my family!

My dogs will destroy any bed I give them. I have lost a lot of money trying to find a bed for them that they will not destroy. This one is perfect. It's flat but yet soft and I was able to secure it under the dog gate I use so they can't pull it out. There's no incentive to chew on it. My Maltipoo in the photo is 19 inches long and I ordered the small size.

I bought this product because one of my kitties is older and I thought she'd find it soothing. It took her a day or so to discover it, but now she loves sleeping on it. Haven't washed it yet, but the label says it's washable by hand or on delicate.
