Ampersand Artist Panel Primed Smooth Surface for Painting and Mixed-Media, 7/8 Inch Depth, 11X14 Inch (PWP751114)

I've used Ampersand for years. Their product has a fabulous smooth surface that is very nice to paint on especially if you like detail. The ready to use surface allows oil paint (what I use) to be laid down and move very nicely. The cradled. boards are finished with very high quality and you can leave the wood u untouched or paint it to suit your needs. The convenience of finding them on Amazon is good too when I am not ordering a bunch of art supplies from another source.

Great product. Slightly “chalky,” absorbent surface that helps paint adhere.

I love Ampersand products, especially the gessobords for oil or acrylic. Very versatile support for various media.

I did a painting of my Granddaughter and I realy like the smooth surface of this board. It worked out fantastic. Cheers

I have used these panels before and like them for acrylic painting, but I was disappointed thatone end was dented and some of the white ground on which you could paint was coming off on one side. I still the panel but had to double-gesso the part with the missing surface paint. I think the panel should have been rejected as defective before they sent it to me.

For the price its a good wood panel although I have only tried for oil painting and have noticed that the museum series panels from ampersand are generally much better quality - and worth the splurge. My oils almost slide off the panel leaving the first wash very transparent while the other version "clings" better. Sometimes these panels will come with chipped edges too.

Comme d’habitude. L’article est bien mais les coins sont endommagés lors du transport (2 sur un lot de 3 cette fois). C’est systématiquement pas assez emballé…

This is a good panel and high quality. but it seems that the biggest problem comes with shipping it. the are solid but very fragile on the corners. whenever i order them i am bound to get a chipped one. not only from amazon. they should label this as fragile or just protect the corners. also the bigger the size the more it is prone to warping. so storing them vertically/ diagonally will result in some warping.

Was not what I wanted bur that is my mistake for miss reading it. I wanted claybord but haven't used it yet and is still very good product for airbrushing project.
