Quick and easy way to find surface temperatures.
Perfect for checking vegetable temperatures in soup or stews. Good for checking surface temperatures of meats. Just point laser at non transparent surface and pull trigger to get temperature reading. Very easy.

Battery/terminal rust.
The gun works well. Its simple to navigate and has a nice style. Upon opening the battery compartment, i noticed one of the battery terminals and battery had rust from moisture. The batteries were dead and I had to clean the rust from the terminal for new batteries to work. Otherwise, it's a great tool.

Better than spitting in a skillet, to see if it’s hot….lol
I use this to pan sear, and just a general purpose temp readings, seems to be very accurate, and easy to use….
