I regret not purchasing these sooner... easy install on e90 335xi with adaptive headlights
I absolutely love this product. I contemplated installing these about two years ago on my 2011 E90 335xi M-Sport, but due to the complexity of the adaptive headlights, I was unsure if I was up to the challenge of installing these. I watched dozens of videos on e89s, but couldn't find a tutorial for my specific model. I gambled and figured I would attempt to tackle this challenge. It took me approximately 30 minutes to install, which includes some observation time and photographing before and after I removed the halogen bulbs (in case I needed to refer back to determine the orientation of the Lux H8 180 bulbs). The instructions are slightly bare, but a video or a few pictures are far more valuable than any written instructions. Nevertheless, due to all of the different models, I understand why they didn't write too much detail in the instructions. In my e90, the bulb slides into a T-shaped socket, which ultimately holds it in the light box. What I wish I knew before I attempted the install was that the notches on the bulb are not equally spaced; in hindsight, I should have anticipated this. The first bulb went in effortlessly (by chance) but the second bulb wouldn't fit (because I had the notches misaligned, duh). I realized I was applying too much force and struggling too much and paused to inspect the socket. This is when I realized that two of the notches (or prongs) on the H8's base, are closer together than the third notch. It then installed effortlessly. I cannot overstate how much better these look than the stock yellow-ish bulbs. I do wish I purchased these earlier. I do not have any bulb warnings or any flickering upon unlocking the car (when these light up). There is a slight delay between when I unlock the car and the fog lights turn on and, about 2 seconds later, the angel eyes power on. There is no warm up time and these reach maximum brightness upon turning them on instantly. I do have some custom coding that I did myself, which may explain why these don't flicker. Lastly, these are much much brighter than my stock halogen bulbs.NOTE: The adaptive headlights didn't change the install process; if anything, it seemed easier than some of the pre-2010 e89/e90 installations. I didn't need a single screwdriver and had enough room in the bulb compartment to fit the small power brick. I assume this brick has the resistors needed to prevent bulb warnings and flickering. If I can help anyone, please don't hesitate to comment!

Best angel eye replacement there is, but no way to change outer light always being dim
Installed on an E93. For the E92/93, the install is done through a small lid that opens from the near the front of the engine bay. Very easy to access with the hood up. Downside it's a small panel and it's very awkward trying to get the lightbulb to go into the hole. Very annoying, there's no click or anything to let you know when you've got the new bulb in correctly. The amount of rotation is pretty minimal, but it seems to be holding in place fine. As for the lights, I'm a bit disappointed. The inner ring is ridiculous bright. The outer one is very dim and only viewable from directly in front of the car at distance away. Off angle, it's almost completely unlit. My original OEM lights were very dim too, so that hasn't really changed. Just need to set realistic expectations. 4/5 stars because the products does everything it can. The dim outer light is the due to the design of the headlight (not the lightbulb). Taking off one star because of all the photos making it look like the outer ring would be perfectly lit though.

I believe I got two consecutive defective sets.
So this was hard for me but I have to give a bad review here. The only reason it's not 1 star is because they don't look half bad when they actually are working.First and foremost if you have large (no scratch that normal sized adult male hands) this install is VERY yes VERY difficult. I had a very hard time putting the "box" inside of the headlight assembly due to the size of my hands. You have to keep that in mind before you decide to purchase these.Once I finally got the second one installed it simply would not power on.....at all.....and what was weird was my car did not indicate that the light was out, now my halo's worked before so obviously the issue is not my light. I figured ok, well the other side looks "ok" so I'll issue a return but overnight another set to my house that way I'm not without a set of Halo's for too long. Next box comes, and I kid you not I plug one in and only the INSIDE Halo works and I'm like wtff my headlight definitely has to be broken, but then I plug the other one in from the NEW box and it works perfectly! Looks great!....ok cool right? Wrong. I turn my car on (2011 328xi) and I get an error message that says "Left cornering light malfunction" again w.t.f.*** after like 5 minutes it turns off but it doesn't happen when I have the original bulb back in there and it happens every time I turn the car on. I'm super upset by that.So as for the LOOKS of the lights I mean they are not bad per se, but you can barely and I mean BARELY see the outer ring...I mean it is definitely better than Stock, but I was hoping it would be much brighter on the outer ring.Verdict: Believe it or not I actually would not discourage anyone from buying these lights as they look much better than stock and hopefully they will have better luck than I do. I am keeping these lights in the car and hopefully the guys at Lux can get back to me as to whats going on.....because I'm not happy that I had to shell out 400 dollars just to get them to work first and foremost and then still have to deal with an error message.
