Originally from Ecuador, Irlanda came to L.A. with her mother and sisters seeking new opportunities. In time, Irlanda became a busy working mom with a dream to sell her tortilla chips and mother’s salsa. She started her unique cooking method of frying tortillas in rice bran oil right from her kitchen. This is because Irlanda was committed to providing wholesome snacks that her family also enjoy. But more important than selling chips and salsa was creating an opportunity that would bring her entire family together. She enlisted her husband, Ray, and her sisters (The Chicas) to help her. Overcoming a series of hardships while establishing Chicas, three traits helped them through it: faith, hard work and a good sense of humor! Imagine my surprise when I went order another bag they where $9.00 bag, instead of the $3.99 I paid. I'm giving it two stars not for the product, but the price gauging, it's OUTRAGEOUS!! it tast better then other brands, but no way will I be paying $9.00 for one bag!!! Taste: Love the flavor
