Exact replacement for schuwinn trike
Its an exact replacement for the schuwinn meridian trike. Its not chrome like the original, but works just the same. The drum is so similar that I chose not to go to the trouble of removing the original one. I replaced the housing and the friction band along with other small parts. Replacement is not exactly easy but can be done. An extra hand would make things a lot easier.

Ease of Install
This product was very easy to install as well as to adjust. I liked that it is a virtual identical product to the OEM band break that was originally installed on my trike, and is easy to install. My dislike of this product, is that it feels like it does not provide adequate breaking power for use on an e-bike conversion, and frequent adjustments to maintain breaking power. I also dislike that this product can be easily damaged with it's actuating mechanism if you have an accident, that will result in a need to replace before it needs to be.

Works as it should
Got an older Schwinn trike from a neighbor, cleaned it up and and replaced the break since the old one didn't feel like it was slowing down the bike at all. New one works much better after some adjustment. Much easier to remove the middle axle than I expected too.
