It’s a completely different taste in the recipe that I love. I find it great for chili too. It’s spicy but not hot. It comes in a large container to last.

This really tenderizes less expensive cuts of steak without adding a bunch of other flavors. I just like the taste of steak and most other tenderizers have other herbs and spices.

For the price of 2 tiny containers of meat tnderizer, this big one is a steal. Plus, it is Not seasoned - which strangely UNseasoned tenderizer isn't available at my local grocers anymore for whatever reason. According to McCormic - this stuff has a shelf life of 720 days after opened. So, even a home cook that uses this sparingly should feel comfortable with the 2 years they have to use it and not feel bad about tossing whatever little bit remains at the end. Oh, and YES - it really does tenderize.

I love that is is rather low in sodium (25mg) vs most other seasonings. It works on chicken and seafood, and I tend to use it a lot. However, it lacks any kind of punch of flavoring, so I tend to pair it with another one just for more flavor.

The "seasoned" meat tenderizers are all you can find in our local stores, and they are mostly salt. We find UN-seasoned meat tenderizers here. Thinking I was buying pure tenderizer without the salt I ordered this one. Guess what. It's mostly salt! OK, you win. My bad! I use it anyhow, but I thoroughly rinse the salt out of the meat before cooking. Hey, it's not bad at all after doing that, and it really tenderizes.

Glad I could find thos in a bigger bottle. This stuff is great for making a steak tender.

It's good, buy it!

I expected this to be great, but it has a wangy taste to it, I just don't care much for it.
