I'm so glad I came upon this product when searching for something to help the young kids (ages 6 and 8) of my extended family who recently immigrated to the US learn english. I'd taught them words but putting them together in grammatically correct sentences proved elusive. Kids who are discouraged because words are foreign took an interest in language in this grammar puzzle because they had so many choices with which to build sentences, that it wasn't boring. They used their experience with the picture cards to expand on singular simple sentences into actual story-telling. Particularly for the 6 year old, it was helpful that the words come in both capital and lower-case providing training on not just how to form a sentence but the rules of what a proper sentence is as well. They were not keen on sitting and learning initially, because it seemed to be too daunting and preferred to watch tv until I introduced this set of learning tools that put them on the fast track to absorb the lessons of spelling, reading, writing and grammar because kids still want to be engaged and have adults spend time with them, and this allowed us to do all of that so they were more receptive to the learning. I tell them to think of a story in their native language and using what they've learned to retell it in the cards. I go first, and then it's their turn. Their improvement in understanding english since working together has really taken off and it builds their confidence in socializing with other kids rather than feel shy and fearful. The cards are well made, do not bend, easily fit together and are colorful with cute illustrations for the picture art. They're also a good size, not too small that you can lose it but not too big that it's bulky, making them easy to pack and travel with. I am really glad to have come upon this as I can see their progression daily from the different activity ideas as stated in the accompanying instructions. This can be used in a variety of ways, and taken anywhere, for us - the park is a favorite.

Unpuzzled-A Sentence & Story Building; Sight Words Cards, Speech, Writing & Reading This is a great little game or activity box. It includes 72-word cards, 27 photo cards, and 8 punctuation cards. The photo cards are not photos; they are clip-art type pictures. The picture cards and word cards are all two-sided, with the same picture/word on both sides. The only family card is of an African American family. There is a Caucasian Princess and a Caucasian Prince. They are not very culturally diverse. The word cards are color-coded by the parts of speech. All the cards are excellent quality heavy cardboard. The retail price is low for the quality. They fit nicely in the box and are divided by pictures and words. I got these for my third-grade English Language Learner students. They are great to help with vocabulary. All my students enjoy using the cards to make stories. Highly recommended for home, school or a busy bag.

As a teacher I bought this game to use with my students. I absolutely love them. The children having a difficult time with sentence structure and vocabulary have shown a "Look what I can do attitude". I have used them to address sentence expansion, vocabulary expansion, answering WH questions, storytelling, and identifying emotions. I highly recommend such a versatile game.

Amazing I can’t believe how incredible it is

I got this sentence-building set for my kid. The pieces are smaller than what I imagined. There are lots of verb and item pieces to build. However, it is hard to organize the category once you take them out. It needs a big space to check each piece before making a sentence.
