In fact all Salt, sodium chloride, originates from the ocean. Salt deposited on land was once in the ocean. When you purchase salt, it is all Sea Salt. Pink Salt, will be the same but contain other minerals, especially iron, that makes it pink. I like salt.

Are these dry roasted?

Yes but I would not recommend buying these Pistachios. They are small, many old, they are seconds!

Approximately how many pistachios are in each bag?

Well, at 16 oz. per pound, this is 2 pounds of pistachios. Warning: I have bought this brand for several years and they were always good. Until the last time I got them about two months ago. They were not "bad" in the sense of being rotten but they were bland and almost tasteless. Very strange. I have not bought any since then and wonder if anyone else encountered this problem?
