We ordered these because we were having trouble finding gloves small enough for my 7-year-old's hands.**these do not have spines along the back of the fingers to prevent breaks/hyperextension**My daughter did break a pinky with these gloves on. The kick was by a 7-year-old so it wasn't outrageously hard. But these gloves offer no protection at all against that. They do help with palm strikes and falling.You get what you pay for.

Bought the set of goalie gloves for my son to share with his soccer team. They are all new to the sport and the gloves are a fun thing to use as goalie. They are very light weight and thin. They lasted the season without tearing, but I would suggest better ones for kids who are very aggressive or have experience as a goalie. These gloves are good for beginners just learning the sport or little kids who aren't too rough on them.
