This product did exactly what it said it would do, replaces the existing shell. My old fob was in bad shape. It still worked but one of the buttons was missing and the silver coating was missing on another button. I got this thing and switched over the circuit board and the key and voila, my fob looks brand new again. No worries about having to pay to get a new fob reprogrammed. It did not dissapoint.

The parts I only used were the buttons, rubber piece and the back part of the remote. I kept the original front piece of the remote to show the infinity logo. Everything fit well and nothing broke on me. I am keeping the extra front piece as a spare part. Would buy again when needed.

Programmed this as a second key for my 2007 Altima quickly with no issues.You DO need a cheap programming tool (also available from an Amazon partner) that plugs into the OBD2 port., and a working remote, or an expensive Nissan Consult 3 diagnostic tool with key fob programming support. Read the instructions carefully and follow them exactly, expecially the timing, or you will have to repeat the programming step. Any good locksmith will cut the key for you for about the same price as any other key duplication, and most will program the remote if you would rather not try doing that yourself.

I'm still unable to use it to unlock my door. It works fine to start my car but not to unlock door. Still have to use valet key to enter car

Works as described. OEM key dosen't lock in to housing just need to get the new key cut and all will be good.

Excellent Product.

I got this to simply replace the buttons on my original key fob that had broken off. However, the replacement buttons were too large to fit into my original Nissan fob by just a smidge so I ended up just switching the motherboard and battery over to this replacement and using it as a whole. The only thing I don’t like is that the case doesn’t want to stay snapped closed all the way on the side where the battery connection is lifted to make contact with the switchboard. This could use some thoughtful redesigning or maybe I just received a faulty one.

My original keyfob was in bad shape, but it worked. This is merely an empty shell into which to place the guts of a working fob.My old keyfob now looks like a new keyfob, (and still works).For those reviews which gave less than five stars because, “it is just an empty shell and does not work,” that is precisely what the description says. You got precisely what you ordered, (and it does work, once you put working guts into it).Pictures show old keyfob, (with Nissan logo), and the “repaired” old keyfob beside a brand new keyfob.

The media could not be loaded.  Very good replacement case for your key, very nice purchase if your original key have broken case or button but the logic board is working. It could also hold the original manual key if you don’t want to rekey the new one, the manual key came with this has plastic holder and not metal like the original one. It does not come with new batteries, but uses the same type as the original key, and it still fits the car slots if keys don’t have batteries left.The panic button have much darker red than my original key. Also it sadly came with a little bit scratch on the button but acceptable.

the “alarm” button on my stock key was beginning to peel so i replaced it with the one from this kit, it all fit together well but was very finicky, plastic feels to be decent quality but i found the inner plastic front fascia that the buttons are attached to was a slightly different shape so i couldn’t get it to fit on the stock front piece, ended up just taking off the old peeling button and snapping the one from this kit on, worked out for me but may not fit all applications
