I purchased these strip discs to remove heavy rust and all paint from a hot water baseboard radiator cover. Attached to a die grinder, it took just a few minutes to strip a 6' run of all paint and corrosion. I did not take a before photo, because I anticipated a lot of stripping and sanding with an unsuccessful outcome. Surprise.The final bare metal finish had a little tooth, which was covered with a spray coat of rust converter and a coat of primer/paint. Good product that will see use on welding projects.

I used these to strip paint from an aluminum roof vent cover. It worked well and quickly without damaging the cover. My only issue is that they are much more expensive than sanding disks (about 5 times as much). But, sanding disks are usually a bit more aggressive. So, I would recommend for metal parts you try sanding disks first. But if you are stripping wood or another softer surface, these may help to minimize damage to the material under the paint.

I bought these to strip a car to bare metal. It took two packs, but powered through it. Priceless! Easy to use and safe for the metsl underneath.I’m going to buy another pack just to have on hand for projects.

Makes for a better finish when removing paint from metal

I've been working on restoring a van, and needed to grind off layers of rust, gunk, and paint from the van's floor. I used these grinding wheels with my Ryobi grinder, and they worked great.

I stripped 6 layer of paint on my MG Midget in just a few hours. The surface is similar to using 80g sandpaper but so much faster. I only used 3 discs to do the whole car.

Got these to strip paint from aluminum wheels… they certainly strip the paint but leave swirl marks. I needed something less abrasive.
