Waited a few weeks of wearing the robe to write a review beyond first impressions. I’m not one to buy clothing online, but couldn’t find anything satisfactory in a brick and mortar store. Nothing came below my knees. So despite my hesitation, but relying on the vast great reviews, I ordered this product. The black robe to be exact. I wanted a robe, that lengthwise, went somewhere below my knees and above my ankles. I also wanted something soft, warm, comfortable fitting, and easy to care for, yet durable. My main use was twofold; to keep me warm enough in the few minutes it took to take my dogs outside to do their business in the middle of winter at 3am at 25-50° in the mountains I live in; and to keep me warm in the cold mornings inside my house. I’m 5’11” and around 167 lbs. and in my later middle age years. The robe met annd surpassed all my expectations and lived up to the hype in the reviews. I also took the advice of other reviewers and wash my robe on delicate cycle, using a mild laundry soap (not harsh detergent), then use the lowest delicate heat cycle. Also it’s apparently important, if you are hanging your robe on a hook, to use the built-in inside collar loop to hang your robe from, and not hang it by the hood itself (if you want to reduce possible separation of hood from rest of robe). It has held up great under a few washings. I couldn’t be happier with the product and highly recommend. Two side effects I’ve experienced while wearing the robe is the euphoria of feeling like Obi-Wan Kenob from Star Wars; and secondly unexpectedly scaring my little dogs when I lifted the hood over my head, my one and only time. However, I soon discovered I am able to use the hood as a mini adjustable pillow on my recliner when relaxing backwards. In summary, it’s like wearing a customized cozy blanket wrapping your body in all the right places, swaddling you in complete warmth and comfort.

The gown runs very large so I got the small one even though I normally get xlarge - pay attention to the measurements when selecting a size. Small Fits perfectly and keeps me warm. It’s something I wear everyday whilst working from home during the colder months. The hoodie helps when it is especially cold. Got one for me and my dad and he raves about his.

I brought the Medium Size which covers from top to toes and with the softness of fabric can help to keep warm within the house. The tip for keeping the robe fluffy when washing is to put a tiny bit of vinegar diluted instead of softener for better care.

Just a nice dressing gown 💖

My son is just over six feet. He wanted a robe that was long enough as most don't come past his knees. This one does. We got XL to make sure. He's very slim, so it's bulky but not so much that it's too big. The only things that bother him (why I removed one star) is the placement of the straps to hold the belt on are too high up on his waist. So the belt is not in a comfortable place for him. He makes it work. The other thing that he finds bothersome - and I suppose this is because it's not the thickest robe compared to others he has had - is the ends of the sleeves are floppy and wide. So when he's eating, they tend to get in his food, etc. He can't really roll them up. It's not the highest quality robe, but then again, that's reflected in the price. I simply bought this because of the length. It's not bad quality, but I don't expect it to last a very long time - especially when washed. It's the thinnest one he's had. It is soft and he likes it. The hood is enormous, he looks like a monk when he puts it up. He likes it though. I would recommend. He is happy with it overall. It works.
