It’s much better than an fabric mat. It doesn’t get gross or feel gross. It dries easily, which is a necessity in a bathroom where 5 people shower.The only thing is it does move around. It can slip! Particularly if you are very wet (I make sure to drop dry a little before stepping out of the shower) or if you aren’t stepping on it with your weight directly on it. I don’t slip but my roommates think it’s dangerous and want a new one.

Rubber feet do not stick to molded floor of my walk-in shower. Mats both slip under your feet and come up with your foot when you lift one foot. (Bamboo slats adhere to skin more strongly than rubber feet to shower floor.) On the other hand, the rubber feet do leave black gunk on shower floor with each use.

As a "bathroom mat", your risk of a slip and fall is greater using this mat than you would by not using a mat at all. It has pads on the bottom for "non-slip" but they have zero effectiveness.

I have moved away from fabric bath mats and this bamboo mat is just right. Feels good on the feet as you get out of the shower (off the floor!) and dries quickly. Easy wipe down to clean. The less that has to go in the washer/dryer the better. And looks clean and neat as well.

I love the look... but I don’t really like the size. I wish it was just a bit longer. It feels really good for the price though! Not cheaply made at all.
