We live in a wooded area where fall and early winter hunting is permitted and we like to let her run off-leash; when she is chasing critters, we can spot her easily from 200-250 feet away in thick woods. In contrast with the orange bandanas we have bought in the past, this vest covers our dog's chest and back area. She is a golden doodle, so has a deep chest and the chest strap is long enough and easy to fasten to allow her chest to expand when she is running fast and breathing hard. This is an outstanding product.

I bought a medium and it was an excellent fit for my 6 month Aussie, even over her harness. Nicely constructed in a light material that is very bright and reflective. Wide velcro straps to keep it secure. It washes easily. Not sure how well it would stand up to running through branches or thicket as the material is thin.

I first bought a 'small' for my Shiba-cross. (He is slightly taller than most Shiba but his body size is not so different.) The neck was perfect and the body part was good enough for visibility for his size, but the girth (around his chest, under his body) was slightly short so I simply added an additional piece of velcro strap. I also cut a hole in the top and sewed it like a button-hole so it can be used with a harness for walking. I use it almost every day for walking along busy streets. I then bought a 'medium' - the neck is slightly big but that means the regular onto collar leash clip hole slides down his back a bit and I didn't need to make a new hole for clipping onto the back harness. The girth strap fits perfectly. The body part is also longer down the sides and down his back so on days when it is misting rain, it also works as a very light rain cover. (I live in a hot and humid area so a regular raincoat is mostly not suitable.) I can certainly recommend the product (orange one) and will re-purchase both a small and medium again if mine get old or stained. If you are going to gift one, perhaps go for a slightly larger size to be sure, but adding an additional velcro strap works perfectly fine and it has never fallen off. My dog actually totally doesn't care about me putting it on him and will stand still for me to do it, though he is a rescued street dog that I got as an adult - I guess that means he thinks it is comfortable. One of his 'friends' was a bit surprised to see his bright orange body for the first time, though, so be careful you don't freak out other dogs as they can clearly see that color apparently.

I live in the country and spend a lot of time outdoors. We have a lot of hunters and feel better having the dogs in safety orange. The real benefit of these vests is at night though. As you can see in the video, the vests REALLY stand out at night. My dogs all wear LED Collars and have reflective collars on, these are barely visible but the vest lights up as soon as a light hits it. Makes me feel much safer. I found them to be slightly small and wish I’d ordered up just a bit, the Velcro straps are just long enough for my dogs and if the Velcro isn’t overlapped I get a lot of debris in it that really ruins the effectiveness of the item. Seems well made, is lightweight and easy to put on and take off. Very glad I purchased these for my buddies!

This reflective safety vest fits wonderfully on our huge 11 month old puppy, and it's very bright. The material has a minor amount of stretch to it to allow for even greater ease of movement. The reflective surfaces all reflect very well. All if the markings on the vest, including the product logo, are reflective. On the negative side, our boy managed to chew on the side and detach part of the reflective edging, the strap around the chest, and he put some tooth holes in the fabric his first night of wearing it. None of this is the product's fault, but buyers should be aware that their dogs can reach around far enough to damage the vest. I think I can repair enough of the damage to make it usable, but I'm disappointed since one of the reasons I ordered this was because of our pup's tendency to chew on the chest strap of his reflective harness when he gets bored. My husband tends to let him out loose in the evenings when I'm gone, and I want the pup in something reflective to reduce the risk of him being hit if he ends up on the road. With some human behavioral modifications, I still think this vest will assist in that goal. Overall, I'd recommend this vest to anyone wanting reflective wear for their dog. Ordering the hunter orange will provide the additional benefit of being more visible during hunting seasons if you're in a rural area, which we are.

I have 4 dogs & these blaze orange, reflective vests are extremely visible. They allow me to see the dogs if they wander into the woods on our hikes, while also protecting my dogs during hunting season. The vest fasten securely and are made of sturdy material and are waterproof which also makes them easy to clean. Well worth the cost to keep my puppies safe. Make sure you measure your dogs before ordering to ensure that you purchase the correct size.

This vest is lightweight, has 2 adjustments, highly reflective and has an opening on his back that allows leash to attach to harness worn underneath. He tries to scratch off harnesses but actually seems to enjoy this vest! The bright visibility protected him during hunting season and can be used for evening walks. Large fit our 62# golden retriever perfectly. Quality at a great price too!

GOOD QUALITY, LOOKS GREAT ON MY DOG

My senior dog, baxter, usually does pretty good when we let him out to pee at night, but a couple of times he's wandered off to close to comfort to the side of the road. We put this vest on him for walks, and at night when he goes out so we can keep track of where he wanders off to. He's a weimereiner mix, about 65 pounds, and a large fits perfect. Medium would've been too small.
