I was debating between the larger diameter cup and smaller one designed for smaller filters. My filter for my Honda Crosstour and Toyota RaV 4 measured 2 1/2” diameter. Being the smaller model fits filters under2 3/4” I had concern from a review that the spacing between the filter and inner wall of the cup could potential slow down or block the rate of oil causing it to overfill. This cup is soft and malleable and even though my filter on my Honda doesn’t have a lot of room on one side this fit up around the filter perfectly and collected the oil not spilling a drop. Now I specifically ordered a 3/4” reinforced section of hose that fits the drain port perfectly and there is a second cap and that holds a 3/4” inside diameter hose while not in use and I liked kept the bag the hose came in so while the hose drains it drains into the support bag it came in. I ordered the holder as part of a kit that offered a savings over buying it separately. The holder has strong magnets and holes for screws if you wanted.Now I felt this is a game changer as no more oil dripping from a filter letting wind blow it wherever it wanted. And collected it all. I actually had no use for the hose because the end of this cup I was able to direct right into an oil pan. I believe of if I capped the end it would hold all the oil and I wouldn’t need a hose or oil pan.CONS: Now i felt after one use i would make some changes to in better help use it. The cup is made of very soft malleable rubber and i was wearing surgical gloves which had gotten oil on them, this became a problem trying to grip the housing. Because it’s so slick and when oil gets inside it’s hard to grip the filter and turn because the cup will slip and or your hand will slip on the very smooth rubber. Personally a huge improvement would be to have flats like a NUT all the way around so your fingers would have something to grab and not slip so easily. I actually very surprised this wasn’t thought of or this section had more of a texture like rough sand because of your hands are slick then trying to squeeze this enough to grab the filter and turn it is not that easy and even harder to determine when is the filter doing to drop? The magnet inside the cup as you can see can hold a filter upside down and even with oil it in when I turned to empty it into the oil pan the filter never fell out so this thing works. I would also like to see maybe some magnets on the inside walls so it also helps hold the filter as you turn it. Something I think I will add to mine because if the cup held the filter then it would be easier to turn. Just some input from using it the first time. Like all my stuff I take care of things and I washed it and since I hadn’t gotten the holder at the time it went back in the box clean. I honestly am not sure a smaller cup would be a benefit or a risk of overflowing. My opinion but I don’t see the need to gamble. Get the large one and make your oil changes cleaner which is even more beneficial when you install a drain porn like a Fujimoto drain port like I have in all my vehicles. This now makes that one last step a little cleaner.

I work as a professional mechanic and change a lot of oil throughout the day. This product has made replacing the vertical oil filters much less messy and has made my day at work much more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the same boat or a diy guy to save the mess. I love small business products! Thank you!NOTE: You need to get a 5/8" ID hose for the end so the oil does not go all over your arm. Do not try and use this with the cap closed to catch all the oil. As the oil udder fills up with oil it becomes impossible to spin the filter, especially in a confined space (say on an LS style oil filter). So use with about 18" of hose and drain the oil out while you spin the filter off. Works even on Toyota cartridge style filters.

Will catch the oil that drains out of the filter and if you "Fumble" it will catch the filter so you do not get oiul on yourself. Takes up very little room. My greatest and most frequent task is oil changes so i have an oil changing kit to use on every vehicle.This was a great addition. I wish they made a larger one with a larger size drain opening like about 1 and 1/4 or 1 and 1/2 inches that I could hold up to the Oil Drain Plug because when i take the drain plug out the oil shoots out like a faucet. I have great difficulty trying to get the plug out the last turn before it falls into the Oil Drain Pan. The Oil Udder has a plastic grid in it that will catch a drain plug so it does not fall into an oil drain pan but on my car with 0W-20 weight hot oil it shoots out so fast its almost impossible to keep from getting oil all over yourself. NISSANS "Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr". I was told I was in for a surprise when I go to change the oil in a NISSAN. They were RIGHT! This company could make an udder that would solve that problem.

I have the dreaded oil filter location on a Ram 1500 hemi truck. If you have one you know what I am talking about. The reviews suggested this was a godsend, however it is not worth the money. I returned mine and am using gallon ziplock freezer bags to catch most of the oil leakage when changing the oil filter with about the same results. Kudos to the guys who invented this for a much needed problem, however for me it didn’t pass. Your experience and results may vary.

I really liked the "idea" of this product, and I had high hopes for it working with my 2017 ram 1500 with a 5.7LBut no go, there is no way to get this on the filter with any real chance of collecting the over flowing oil.It simply pours down the sides and makes that mess we're all used to because of Ram's failure of a filter placement. As such, it'll hang on the wall for the day I own something else that it may work on.Great product idea, but not for my truck.
