French Brittany Galettes au Beurre (Butter Cookies) in Mini Quimper Tin, Faience Couple, 4.23 OZ

Lovely French butter galettes from Brittany, just what you need when you have a hankering for French cookies. A tad expensive but given the costs and effort involved in getting them to the U.S. from France, well worth it.

Picture of square box is not what you receive. Tin is 4 inches by 3 inches. 2 inches high. The price is not worth this small tin of cookies. Cookies are thin and nothing special. Do not buy there is no return! My biggest disappointment ordering from Amazon!

I loved the crunchiness and freshness of this cookie; it goes very well with a nice cup of tea. The real buttery flavor is excellent. The beautiful high-quality tin in which the cookies are presented combined with the high-quality of the cookies make for a great party favor or hostess gift.

Having a parent who is actually from Brittany, these cookies were common place in my home as a child. However, the tin was much bigger. The cookies were stacked at a cupcake paper cup and appeared different in shape and varied from sugarcoated to non-sugarcoated these cookies are just a basic round sugar cookie that has a similar flavor to what I recall, but can someone please tell me how individually wrap cookies inside a metal tin all wind up broken not cracked in half but in many pieces. I’m curious is there a game of ping-pong with the tin at the warehouse or instead of a conveyor belt are the tins just being vaulted across the room And kicked into the truck not quite seen anything like it while they did taste much like when I recall as a kid was difficult to enjoy because I had to scoop a pieces from the plastic bag next time I think I’ll order directly and just pay what’s necessary to have it shipped from Le Croisic to me

I should have paid more attention to the other reviews. Super tiny tin and all 10 cookies were smashed to bits. I tried them since I couldn’t gift them in that condition and they tasted good. Total waste of money. I went to World Market and got similar cookies for 1/4 of the cost for 3x’s the number cookies and they weren’t broken.

I love this order. I read the reviews before I ordered so I expected a very small box. The box is the reason I ordered. I wanted it as a traveling cross stitch kit. The cookies are passable but I would have paid the price for an empty box. So cute!

Buttery taste in small thin crackers. Two with a cup of tea or coffee is just enough of heaven for an early morning or late evening sweet! The box was 5 inches x 3.75 inches. Comes in a small 16 cookie pack like one would see in a packaged Ritz cracker. Would recommend as a great Christmas gift for anyone that enjoys a crispy buttery cookie.

Very small tin box with very few cookies individually wrapped in plastic. Cookies were plain tasting and crispy. The tin it came in was nicely decorated, but again small. Definitely not worth the money. I can't believe I paid as much as I did for these. Walkers cookies are far better than these.
