SEIKO Automatic Watch for Men 5-7S Collection - with Day/Date Calendar, Luminous Hands, Stainless Steel Case & Bracelet

Love the watch. Everything came new in the box. It looks way better in person. I knew to expect it, and I thought I was going to hate the folded link bracelet but it ended up not being a big issue. I don’t know if it was just luck of the draw, but I got the English/Spanish days which is a huge plus for me.

It's one of the best automatic watches you can get for the price.Wear it to work during the week and the power reserve lasts throughout the weekend so I don't have to set it every Monday morning. Never had any problems with it and I love the look.You can also set the date to either french or english which is pretty cool.

I bought this watch as a direct replacement for my beloved Seiko 5, which I bought in the late '80-s for the price of around $100.(at that time) The styling of the watch makes it a nearly identical twin to the old one, but there are some meaningful improvements have been implemented since then. The quality of the bracelet and clasp have been improved by making them heftier and tighter, an interesting display back has been added, and finally the movement have been changed from the 17 jewels 7009, to the present 21 jewels 7S26 movement. There is a detailed and illustrated technical-engineering report about this movement in English, the reader only need to Google for it. The summary of that unbiased, third party assessment is that the designers have replaced some steel parts with plastic ones, (for example the slow moving day-date rings, a spacer and so on), but those were carefully selected, so it won't effect the legendary reliability of the design. There is so much more have been written about this universally admired and respected SEIKO 5 line, that it would fill page after page. I will mention only one thing: A committee of experts who were invited by a Swiss horology journal has declared the Seiko 5 the least expensive high-end watch in the World.

Overall the watch looks nice and decent for the price. Actually the more I look into details the more I appreciate and love. My mistake is that I didn't pay attention to details and specs of the watch. I was excited to buy it and have it as soon as possible. The watch is NOT MADE IN JAPAN, NOT EVEN JAPAN MOVEMENT, it was MOVEMENT MALAYSIA. As probably not everyone knows that SEIKO is a huge well known company they're everywhere, even Orient watches I've seen made i Thailand. The model SNKL19 SEIKOis perfect for business or even for daily use SIMPLE but it gives you that elegance look. The size 38mm was too small for me, it looks like a lady watch but as I realized it's a perfect size for me, having a wrist size of 4-5 it was the right size. That's why I'm editing my review to be fair " IT'S SEIKO " overall I'll keep it, I LOVE IT !!! and will just use it as my work watch. I'm buying another and make it sure to CHECK all the details and its MADE IN JAPAN. Thank you and I recommend it as a best buy.
