Is there any truth to the suggestions that this item is counterfeit because of the different materials used in the egg turning gear wheels?

Amazon buys our products directly from Brinsea and sells onto there website. Some of the gears on the turning motor are yellow and some are black, just depends on what material was available at the time of production.

Do the eggs stand up or lay down in the egg turner?

The eggs are placed in the trays with the pointed side down. They are upright if the trays are full of eggs. They may tilt slightly but are upright.

Says it’s prime eligible but is going to take a week to get here. What gives?

I can't get the humidity over 53% for the last 3 days? I ser it at 70%

To achieve higher humidity you have to make sure your using the evaporating block.
