Toyvian Vintage Wind Up Robot, Tin Mechanical Walking Figurine

This is not a kids toy - that shows the limited imagination of the marketing department. I am giving this toy to an adult - this is also the only type of toy I give out anymore. Why waste your time trying to align what you think someone wants as they grow older. 20s thru 80s. take the time to build a story about how the person's life could be seen as routine - robotic - but you want them to know how you see them or how they should see themselves because of all their hard as a .... whatever... and then give them another - yes another toy - maybe a dancing robot and tell them when life feels one way - to put "you" on the counter to go dancing and take all their cares away. Break through your barriers to let them smile.

It’s a fun little trip back in time to when these tin toys were commonplace. He will spend most of the time on a mantel shelf. I enjoyed reading the reviews, at least he arrived in one piece. It, he, will fulfill my voracious appetite for retro. But, why does it say Dunkin Donuts on the back side?

This is more gray than light blue. Also, I'm an adult who bought it for myself, but the listing explicitly says it's a fun toy for kids while the box says: "this is not a toy. For adult collectors only." That's just lazy.

We’re on our second one and they break after just a day of windings.

It doesn’t move properly it doesn’t stay running. It doesn’t wind up properly is very, very very cheap.

Maybe because I'm sure this is something he had on his desk or in his office when I was a kid, this little wind-up metal robot fellow reminds me of my grandfather. It's almost exactly the same as the one he had when I was just old enough to be touching things and trying to figure out how to make them go. I knocked one star off of this because his one arm had rather fallen apart before he reached me and I'm still trying to put it back together, which is a bit of a challenge because of how it's put together but I'm sure I'll figure it out and he still looks pretty cool with it, or, rather, without it. A+++
