Great!
This was really great. LGBTQ representation was fantastic, they were believable and adorable. The story was interesting and tense at times, spicy at others.

Consuming, empowering, honest, and hotter than hell! 5 Stars
I was on the fence for so long because I will be the first to hold my hand up and say that M/M has never really done anything for me in the past. However, two very good author friends told me nearly a year ago that I had to read this book and after some deliberation, I finally jumped in! Alas, I'm converted because my reservations have been silenced with this book.Jamie and Wes' story was consuming, empowering, honest, and hotter than hell! Holy hockey pucks and purple skittles did I fall head over heels in love with this love story.Wes was always aware of his sexual orientation from a young age, and his battle to keep his true feelings hidden from his best friend was honourable and I loved him for it.Jamie has never had to work hard for female attention but when one drunken night presents an opportunity to experiment he doesn't shy away from his best friend, and from that moment on questions and confusion rears its head for Jamie, but what was so pleasurable about this read was there was no disgust by any of it, just a quiet, almost diplomatic realisation of personal self awareness that was embraced with sympathetic maturity on a scale that isn't often seen in 'fictional' life changing circumstances.Witnessing these two talented and beautiful young men manifest into more was a really beautiful reading experience that made me want to bitch slap myself for not delving in sooner.US is the sequel and I can't wait to get back on the rink with these boys to see what happens next.

Ohgodohgodohgod
I loved this book. LOVED this book. For what I like in an MM romance it's got it all.Usually I'm not an massive fan of first person POV but this worked soooo well, the two MC's were brilliantly written, I was utterly engaged in everything that happened to both of them, how they acted and reacted as the story unfolded. The love and romance killed me, I was in tears at points, mainly happy my-heart-is-so-full tears, some sad angst tears too...but not too many. It's super steamy too, I've read a string of hockey romances lately, with plenty of the good stuff in, but this one really hit all the right buttons. It's HOT.If you want a good MM sports romance, with well rounded, well written characters, love that makes your heart want to explode and dialogue that makes you laugh out loud you can't go far wrong with this. I want to read about Wes and Jamie for the rest of their lives :)

Unforgettable, breathtaking, sexy.
I’m fairly new to MM romance. HIM has always come up as a top MM Romance recommendation- and I agree wholly with this. To say I loved this book would be an understatement, it consumed in a way I didn’t think possible. Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy wrote a truly unforgettable breathtaking, sexy, all the feels friends to lovers MM romance that will be going straight to the top of my book recommendations.Wes and Jamie warmed my heart through and when the angst hit me I felt like I couldn’t breathe. I also laughed so hard- I read and listened to the audiobook (and I can say Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton really brought this book to life!)- and I got some strange looks while out shopping.I love the way this book was written, each of the protagonists POV was easy to connect with, and everything about this book really emphasises the core of what love really is.If you’re not sure about MM Romance or you're just curious- this is a perfect book to start. Be warned, you will swoon and fall in love!!5/5 I Have Always Loved You STARS!!

good m/m read
MY REVIEWHis is such an adorable friends to lovers story, a real feel good read. Im not a hockey fan as its not that big in the UK, but that doesnt matter this book is so much more than the sport featured in it. His is a story about two men who find more than their friendship with each other.I loved the gift box idea and the purple skittles was so cute. His is hot, sexy, sweet, funny I found this book to be on the lighter side of M/M romance. The plot flows well and both the main characters are really likeable.

Straight onto my 'Just so damn Good' shelf...brilliant!!
***Goodreads review dated 29th July 2015***Well, this one goes straight onto my 'Just so damn Good' shelf. What a gem, FULL of emotion, passion and feels. Not going into detail, other reviews have got that covered, but WOW!! Some of the stories I read in this genre definitely make me wish I believed in re-incarnation, cos I would SO come back as a gay guy and want to experience the love and tenderness that Wes showed in making love to Jamie for the first time....chapter 16 is a revelation, sooo hot, sensual and touching, and yes god damn it, 6 stars!!Thank God Jamie went with his gut feeling and forced Wes to open up to his warm and fuzzies instead of the stoic 'we can't do this cos yes, I do love you and have for years BUT it'll ruin my hockey career and I don't want this life in the public spotlight for you' moment.I love Sarina Bowen's writing, so confident and self-assured, and I'm not exactly sure how much input Elle Kennedy had in the story cos I don't read her m/f stuff, but believe me Ladies, next time you double-team and an M/M like THIS one is the result, I'll be there with bells on.

Jamie & Wes
I don’t know how many people have told me I NEEDED to read this book and I’m very happy I decided to do a buddy read of it with my bestie Sabrina. I love how the authors brought Jamie and Wes’ friendship back with the box that represented a big part of their bond from when they were younger. It was so innocent but represented what they meant to each other at the same time, how they took the time to send each other ridiculous and meaningful gifts. Bi-awakening fueled by jealousy is my kryptonite and it was perfect in this book. I loved how Wes was slowly discovery that his feelings for his best friend never went away and how Jamie was slowly realizing that he wanted Wes in return. Their story was very sweet and exactly what I expected from a hockey romance. I look forward to reading the second book Us, and seeing where their love story brings them next.

Ótimo!
A vida é simples, a gente que complica! Não gosto muito de livros com tantas cenas de sexo, mas a história por trás faz valer a pena.

An amazing, funny, steamy and engaging book!
Funny, sexy, heartbreaking and heartwarming!*****Rating: 5 starsSteam: 3 flamesGenre: MM / Sports / Friends to Lovers / GFY*****HIM, is an MM Hockey Sports Romance. Jamie and Ryan have been going to hockey summer camp for years and they are best friends. Until one fateful night when a crazy bet was made, double dares were issued, and the words "let's watch some porn" were uttered. That night changed Ryan and Jamie's friendship forever. Ryan went radio silent and Jamie never understood why he lost his friend.4 years later; Ryan and Jamie are about to run into each other again when their college hockey teams both make it to the final four.Ryan is the adrenaline junky, always testing boundaries, and the guy that will always come up with the really bad ideas. He has also figured out that he is gay and in love with his straight friend Jamie. He has carried the guilt of that fateful night for 4 years and knows he has to apologize to Jamie.Jamie, calm, cool and collected. Has never understood why he lost his best friend after one crazy night. Will he finally get the answers he is looking for when he finally faces his old friend?Good heavens these two. Ryan broke my heart and Jamie warmed my heart. I had a stupid grin most of the time because these two and their shenanigans were funny. Jamie's confusion and finally acceptance towards his newly discovered sexuality was both funny (the way he tested his theory), beautiful and natural. I fell for Jamie hard.Ryan, trying to do the right thing by his friend, makes many mistakes. Geez, does Ryan make mistakes. What I enjoyed about this book is the level of communication between the characters. Once they get over the 4-year hiatus, they both decide not to hold anything in, and that open and honest dialog was wonderful. No unnecessary angst just to further a story. HIM, is just a beautifully funny and wonderful friend to lover romance!I loved the characters, steam, and humor throughout the book! HIM had a storyline that was both realistic and heartwarming. To put it simply, HIM was just a fantastic book, one I will recommend to all my friends that are fans of this genre.
