The Chemical Guys C4 Clear Cut Correction Compound
The Compound works great for restoring car paint. It removes scratches, swirl marks, and oxidation quickly while leaving a smooth, glossy finish. The compound is easy to apply and works well with both dual-action and rotary polishers. After using it, my car’s paint looked noticeably clearer and shinier. Excellent quality product from **Chemical Guys for anyone serious about paint correction

C4 really brought the shine back in this car
C4 Chemical Guys Compound is a solid product that improved the paint appearance of my car. At first, it was NOT noticeable because I had been using CG Extreme BodyWash & Wax for the past year. The car wash solution and regular car washing will keep my car shiny without the need for compound and polish. However, taking a deeper look at the paint with C4 application shows that the solution eliminated about 80% of the light scratches. These scratches, caused by car wash brushes and snow removal tools, were practically gone. While deeper scratches, like those from snow shovels or door contacts, were somewhat muted, they were not completely removed. Previously, I had no routine for addressing scratches on my car, which had accumulated over six years + plus three years before ownership. Thanks to C4's scratch removal, the depth of the Crystal Black Pearl paint became more visible. Throughout the day, I noticed the color really 'pops.’ To fully appreciate the progress, you need to examine the area closely in the dark with a flashlight. C4 is excellent for restoring paint to a high shine, but it won't completely bring back the car's original factory gloss. Regular hand washing will help reduce the frequency of compounding (I learned should only be done once or twice) and polishing (6 months or annually). I anticipate this DIY project will last until the fall. Realistically, since the car is not garaged, I don't expect the results to last more than six months, but time will tell. My advice compound and polish is better in the fall because I constantly have to rinse or take a microfiber cloth to see glossy with the daily dump of pollen and dust in May.
