The "blade" is some kind of stone
I got this for several nice fashionable sweaters made from soft yarn that pilled-up quickly. Pills are so NOT fashionable. ;) Also it worked on the sleeves of a cute black pea coat I've loved for years and has only recently become ratty. I couldn't tell from this listing how the blades grab and pull the pills (What are they made of? Will they wear out like sandpaper or tape does? Is this any better than the metal options?). Turns out: it's as if they're made of some kind of stone with each blade having a different grit and the largest one is like a screen material that's coated in stone. So they do NOT wear out (not yet anyway). While dragging the stone over the material, it pulls so hard on the pills that it's like I'm trying to comb them out, but the pills are so stubborn that they lift away rather than come unraveled. And most do lift away after several hard, repeated swipes. (Though one sweater was so feathery that even after a long time working on it, it was better, but still feathery, so my best solution was to use a hair trimmer.) The blade on this fills fast so I ended up grabbing a trash can and, every 3-5 swipes, I'd pull off the lint with my hand and throw it out. This works faster/easier if the fabric is pulled VERY tight and against a hard surface, so I ended up sitting on my hardwood floor, holding a sleeve with my heel and bracing the shoulder areas with my forearm -- awkward, especially since I needed that bracing hand to pull the lint off the blades, but it worked. The lint-collecting side of the handle is really strong and keeps grabbing well, even after many uses, as long as I clean it several times during use, using one of the blades. As with the blades, the lint grabber fills up after some swipes and can't grab anymore. But that just means it's working, right? I 100% recommend this gadget. It makes my sweaters look better so I can wear them for longer.

Does the job!
I have used blade 1 several times and am very happy with the results. It does the job. I used the blade to remove the pills, then finished with the velvet lint brush, which gave the fabric an even smoother finished look. The only thing I am running into that has caused me some annoyance is that the way I am holding the handle my thumb ends up sliding down to where the release leaver is at and I end up accidentally releasing the blade. I'm sure the more I use it the more I will get used to how to handle it properly without that happening, but just in case I'm not the only one running into this issue it may be something to explore as a design change in the future. This is a great product overall. Be sure to read the instructions on what fabrics to use these blades on, and what fabrics to NOT use these blades on. They are not intended for fine, delicate, loosely woven, embroidered, etc, fabrics. Use common sense when examining a fabric and whether running something scratchy across it might damage it, before proceeding to use this product on it.

Works Well
I bought this a couple months ago and sort of forgot about it and then I washed a wine colored sweater (acrylic) with a white sweatshirt. It did a great job getting it depuffed. I feel like it’s not as rough on the fabric as a battery powered one. I used the middle gauge shaver and then went over it with the lint remover and I think it did really well. Arm was definitely tired at the end and I did have to do a couple passes over the seams but overall one pass was enough. The pics are before, after the shaver, and then after the lint remover.

Works fine for t-shirts, not great for sweaters.
This item definitely does not replace a sweater shaver for use on thick fabrics. Great for upholstery and t-shirts, but for it ended up just felting the fuzz on my winter clothes, like pajama pants, sweaters, and hoodies. I still had to use an electric shaver to get the fuzz off most clothing. The Gleener works great for pillows and furniture, though. The attached lint roller is basically the only reason I kept it.

Works like a charm and no batteries needed
BEST Shaver ever!!! I bought this because my newish furniture was beginning to pill badly and look old. I hated sitting on it and feeling all those little nubs. Some of the battery operated shavers did not have the energy to shave them off. I liked the idea of not needing batteries with this tool. I also liked that it comes with 3 different blades to accommodate just about all fabrics. As soon as my Gleener fuzz remover arrived, I tore into the package and began shaving my furniture. I am happy to report that my furniture looks brand new again....and I didn't have to worry about batteries dying before I completed my task. Oh, and the shaver and 3 blades come with a bag to store them in. These blades shave the fuzz, but you can't hurt yourself with them. Easy enough for a child to use. I plan to unpack sweaters and begin shaving them next!

Get it now!
Wow! I am impressed by this fabric shaver. I’ve tried so many in the past and this one beats all of them for my couch. I have a couch that pills like crazy. I was able to get all the pilling off in a matter of minutes. It also picks up German Shepherd hair in the process which is a huge plus for me. Highly recommend.

Wasteful - Buy Sandpaper & Fabric Shears Instead
I have so many clothes that get pills, and fuzzballs - so I was stoked to find something to eliminate them. I thought maybe this had some blades or high quality... something. Nope. It's just SANDPAPER housed in some gigantic, plastic contraption. I foolishly thought this would solve my fuzzie problems. After about 3 clothing items, the edges lost their tooth and became... useless. Only about 1MM of the edge is useful, and once it's gone, it's gone. Even if there are replacements, it's more plastic than edge. And for the cost, I expected this to last at least 20 clothes to de-pill. The fuzzballs are difficult to remove from the edges, and it barely takes fuzzies off thick items. With the long edge, you can't get into small areas - like around buttons. Instead, get yourself some 100 Sandpaper, rip it into 1 inch strips for your smaller pills. This gives you a better level of control, and you just tear off small strips when the sandpaper wears out (you just brush the little grains off). It's even easier to get the fuzzies off the sandpaper. (I was able to de-pill an entire flannel shirt with this method) For your larger fuzzballs - get a real nice pair of fabric shears (keep them only for fabric - paper will dull it). Carefully cut at the edge of the fabric and 'snip' away the fuzzies. (I was able to de-pill an entire carpet coat with this method)

Happy customer !
Very happy with this fuzz remover. The product functions, looks and feels exactly as described. I've used it on several pure cashmere and wool knits to much success - can recommend 😁. It seems like it will last as it's a simple design and well constructed.

Money CAN buy happiness
I was really close to throwing away my entire supposedly “luxurious” and insanely expensive sofa due to extreme lint formation that was more stubborn than the phone scammers that call everyday.. but this piece of wonderful creation of a mastermind solved that problem entirely. I cried tears of joy first time i used it, videocalled my friends and family, most of them think I totally lost it but i don’t care. I’m in love with this. Thank you!

Comodo e veloce
