I was hoping these beautiful solar lights would provide a bit of path lighting in addition to looking cool. Perhaps if I purchased dozens of these and placed them 12" apart then MAYBE they'd actually light the garden pathway. Otherwise, they're purely decorative but for some that might be ok.

These solar lights arrived carefully packaged and as described. I received 2 of each color variations. The globes are actually little pieces of glass so they have a nice sturdy feeling to them. The silver colored ring around the top lid however is just a ring that slides over the black plastic lid underneath. I did not have to slide this ring on as part of the assembly since it was already done, however as I was twisting the caps off of the globe to turn the switch on each globe to the "on" position, one of them slid right off. It was simple to put back on however. Reattaching the lids is also very easy and each one of the globe lids fit securely and evenly on top of the glass globe. The stakes are the same material of the silver ring on top, so I'm not sure if it's something that will rust over time of being so close to the ground with the possibility of staying damp for periods of time, but so far they look good. The lights are bright enough to cast a nice glow, but it's more for decoration than actually lighting up a walkway or area. At night I can see the globes illuminated, but it does not light up the area around it in pitch dark, but I didn't expect it to but just wanted to note in the review. I was up until 3 am last night talking on the phone with a friend, and I peeked out the window as I was heading to bed and these pretty solar lights were still going strong. I wish the globes were a little bit bigger but they are exactly the measurements that are listed in the description so they are well represented, I just think a larger size would take them from looking pretty to looking beautiful. I wasn't really expecting much from these solar path lights because the price is so affordable. But I must say these are amazing! They were easy to put together and they came already charged. I lined my flower bed with the lights and they look very beautiful and elegant. They are very well made and durable. I love that they require no batteries and charges by the sunlight during the day and gives you up to 10 hours of power depending on how much sunlight they receive. My favorite thing about these solar path lights is the mosaic design. It is so beautiful and unique. I plan on ordering a few more sets to line my backyard with. I did get this product as a test sample for free. Also worth noting that I am an Amazon shopper just like you, worked very hard for the money I shop with,and I depend on reviews when shopping online and I do NOT write favorable reviews just to please the providing source,because I trust that others are giving honest reviews on products I intend to buy! I really do like these lights. They were very easy to put in the ground. I put them in the direct light so they could get a full charge. When they turned on at night they were very pretty because they have different colors of glass around the light so they project that color. So the colors that came in the package was blue, purple, and a yellow/orange. They are very pretty at night lit up, but they are also pretty during the day because they are colored. They all worked right away with no problems at all. They are not super tall but for me that was perfect. This product is definitly a full 5 star product. I am a very happy and pleased customer.
