I’ve only had this product for a short time, but they are phenomenal! I love the four lighting modes and the fact that they automatically turn on at dusk and off at first light. This is my first time using solar lighting, and I didn’t really expect much or that they would produce much illumination. Boy, was I wrong! I’ve been using them on medium power and that’s plenty bright for my entire house. And they last all night long on a single charge, up to 12 hours per the instruction manual. My kit came with 8, so I had 2 extra to light up my dwarf ornamental trees in my front yard. (picture doesn’t show this). I think it’s a great product at a really good price!

I ordered these in a two pack and sadly one light was utterly defective and dead on arrival so I have to take one star off for that. If they cant handle shipping (and amazon did fine everything was packaged how it should be) than I question their longevity outdoors in the elements. I did take the back off said light and everything seemed fine no broken wires or bad batteries so guess the tiny circuit board was defective. Sucks but happens. The light that wasn't defective works as intended and is nice. I really like the over-all small design of these and the motion sensor saves battery. Light is good enough to illuminate a whole area at night despite being small and I will be ordering more at a later date hoping it was just bad luck on the dead one. So yes, I still like these lights.

The lights are a big hit! Definitely creates an aura of grandness in displaying our large oak and elm trees! Look forward to every evening twilight when they come to life!!

First thing I had noticed after receiving the lights was that one of the wires was pinched between the housing and back plate, which not only compromised the wiring but also the waterproofing of the unit. Poor quality control. Upon opening the lights to remedy the wiring issue, you could see the basic components: the standard 18650 Li-ion battery with soldered connections, the LED panels, and the control board, all hardwired. As the wiring isn't the neatest, I could see how it got pinched in manufacturing, so make sure to inspect your unit before putting them up. The battery is removable and replaceable once you have basic soldering skills. Before closing up I had added silicon grease to the gasket to help waterproof the unit. After leaving them outside for a day to charge, I had installed them on the siding of my house at the recommended height of 2-2.5m (~6-8 feet). Installation is simple, only one hole required, and ideally facing south for those in the northern hemisphere. At night I went to test the lighting and detection range. While the lighting was decent, the motion detection was rather poor and inconsistent. At times it would detect at 20 feet, and other times you could walk right up to them without them turning on. A really disappointing performance considering I have older lights on an adjacent wall that are similarly priced but perform far more consistently and cast light better. Update - May 16 2020: After writing the review the company had contacted me and sent out replacement lights. The replacement set did not have the wiring issue out of the box. I had repeated the charging procedure and replaced the old set with the new. After testing for a week with on and off rain the new set are more responsive and I haven't seen any issues so far. The detection range still leaves a bit to be desired, but it is more consistent at detecting motion in the range that it has. I would recommend anyone having issues with their lights to contact the seller and see if they could help you out, I was satisfied with their customer service and quick response to my initial review.

Small device but does the job.

The finish doesn’t look that great. Very cheap looking. At that price I expected more better looking finish. The light is not as bright as I expected. The motion sensor picks up only when you are very close to it. Wouldn’t buy anymore of these ones.
