If the battery goes bad can you use this unit with the charger as the power supply? (I live in Ecuador and getting a battery might be tough.)

Does the handle have a grip? It appears the handle has a very smooth surface as opposed to some others with rubber grips.

It doesn’t have rubber grips but I’ve never had any problem keeping it in my hand.
