Vitamix probably has the most loyal following, and they have pretty much set the standard for blenders. But Blendtek has quietly crept in, and stole a lot of the Vitamix buyers, due to better pricing, product improvements, and equally good advertising.Many Vitamix users have tried to sway me into buying one, and they touted the quality and all the perks. Nevertheless, I simply could NEVER wrap my head around paying $400-$500 for a "blender." But after toying with countless "wannabe contenders" that claimed to be an inexpensive alternative to Vitamix, but they fell short... I finally opted to go for a Blendtek, which was on sale for $229.00.After much research and many YouTube videos, I made the purchase, and the Blendtek turned out to be equal to the Vitamix, while saving me $170. But the problem with Blendtek was their replacement jars were $90 or more, which is utterly ridiculous. I wanted to purchase extra blender jars, which would allow me to make larger batches faster, but once again... I could not wrap my head around paying $90 for a JAR!And then I stumbled upon the MengK blender, and all the excellent reviews that VERIFIED Amazon buyers were giving it. After doing some research, I pulled the trigger and purchased it on November 23, 2017, and I AM IMPRESSED! Finally... someone has done it right!I have run this blender through various tests with things that I tend to blend and drink. My first test was the "Raisin Bran Test." In the mornings, because of time constraints, I never sit down to eat breakfast. I will typically make an oatmeal smoothie or a Raisin Bran smoothie, gulp them down, and go about my business.The previous blenders that I used would always FAIL the Raisin Bran. They would leave "raisin pulp" in the bottom of my glass, which I could live with because I like raisins. The Blendtek solved that problem, and so did the MengK.I have tested the MengK side-by-side with the Blendtek, and I have seen NO DIFFERENCE in the finished result (the consistency of the MengK smoothies are equal to the Blendtek). I have done frozen smoothies as well, and the MengK operates exactly like the Vitamix demos that you may have seen at Costco or on YouTube.The MengK seems to be very similar in design to the Vitamix, but I think it actually works a little smoother, in that it does not "bounce" the ingredients up and down at high speeds. I know that my Blendtek does that, but I am not sure if the Vitamix does or not. It may just be my own pet-peeve, because the Blendtek still provides a smooth consistency, but the MengK strikes me as doing it the right way.The MengK is well designed. As can be seen from the product photos, it has 4 controls:1- Far left toggle switch= Power on/off2- Far right toggle switch= Pulse3- Top center knob= Speed4- Bottom center knob= Egg Timer.Their design is perfect and logical. I like that the power knob turns like a volume button on a stereo, giving you smooth and exact control of the speed. Unfortunately, the "timer knob" is just as I described it… a glorified wind-up egg timer.It works independent of the blending process, which means that even after you turn off the blender, it will continue ticking away and counting down until it reaches zero. It's odd, but it's not a big deal.As I mentioned previously, the blend action is smooth during the blending process. It sucks the ingredients down, instead of splashing them up. Another thing that I love is that it has an EXCELLENT seal around the lid. Most blenders will "leak" and spill if the ingredients splash up around the edge of the lid, but the dual rubber seals on the lid do not allow anything to escape on the MengK.The MengK lid even passed my "soap test." This is where I will place clean water and a small amount of dish soap into the jar, and blend it for cleaning purposes. As the soapy water expands, blenders with poor seals leak the soapy water through the lid. The MengK does not.And now... I have saved the best for last: Unlike the exorbitant prices that both Vitamix and Blendtek charge for extra blender jars… MengK sells theirs for $35.00!!!!Being that MengK has thoroughly impressed me with a strong quality product that functions flawlessly, I have gone "All-In1!" I just purchased yet another MengK blender, plus I bought 2 extra jars. All total, I was able to get all of this for a little more than the $229 cost of my Blendtek. This also means that I was able to get 2 blenders, and 2 extra blender jars for around $200 cheaper than the cost of one single Vitamix blender!High-quality home blenders are now being pretty much dominated by Vitamix and Blendtek. They both make an outstanding product, and there has yet to be a company that has come along with a blender that gives us everything that the reigning kings give us.I am hopeful that MengK recognizes the tremendous opportunity that stands before them. Vitamix offers a 7yr warranty, and Blendtek offers 8yrs. This is the one area where MengK must prove itself.If MengK will provide us with a durable product, and excellent warranty support, I foresee that they will have the chance to dethrone both Vitamix and Blendtek. I would gladly pay $130.00 for an excellent blender that lasted 5-6 years, versus paying $300-$500 for blenders that lasted 1-2 years longer. Any way you slice it... the math is in the favor of MengK, provided they understand the importance of that delicate balance between price, quality, and after-the-sale support.In their product description for this blender, MengK stated the following:"SERVICE AND GUARANTEE: You can confidently purchase MengK's Blender , if you are not 100% satisfied with the purchase for any reason, we will promise to provide 3 year warranty & 30 days money back guarantee. It is also unclear how warranty support is to work, when the only number I found was an international contact number in China. Nevertheless, I decided to take the chance and support them, hoping they are a smart company, and recognize the opportunity to develop a strong footprint in the U.S. market.As I said, I am all-in. I am impressed with their product, and I hope that they will prove to be the worthy competition that this segment of the market is in dire need of. I hope they succeed. But… if they fail, I will be the first to sound the alarms, and alert my fellow Amazon shoppers.I will post further updates about this product when necessary.Hope this helps!***UPDATE***March 8, 2019Purchased my MengK in 2017, and I have run it through some serious blending. I am happy to report that it still runs like a champ! Recommended this to family members who have made purchase, and love theirs as much as I do mine. Mengk is on par with the Vitamix and Blendtek as well, for a fraction of the cost. This one is truly a winner!

Excellent product, definitely the right choice for people who make a lot of smoothies and want something reliable and well-made that also works as a food processor.I used my old blender everyday and regularly blended frozen fruit, leafy greens, nuts etc. My old blender simply wasn't powerful enough, and I knew I needed a stronger model that could cope with my daily blending.It does an amazing job with making my smoothies and thicker smoothie bowls. I love the fact it can crush ice/frozen fruit so well, which is an essential for what I use a blender for! It is VERY powerful and does a very efficient job at blending, better than the one I was previously using.It works at a very powerful and effective speed for a blender at this price point, it's very solid and well made. During operation it is a little noisy but this I don't mind, as it works effectively, The suction pads on the base help to keep it secure while in use. It's very easy to clean and the accessories like the cups and lids are well made. I definitely recommend purchase. I hope it proves to last a long time and be very reliable.Price wise, I think this is fairly priced.

Extremely powerful blender; 6 blade ball bearing with 1500W. Doesn't seem that loud to me; we previously had a Cuisinart blender that was so loud it would wake the dead. I was waiting for the day that damn blender would finally break... took 8 long years! Have made several frozen cocktails and this blender makes them so smooth and creamy. Only wish that it came with glass pitcher instead of plastic but it seems all blenders are going that route. Will have to wait and see how durability is....***Update***We have had this blender for nearly a year now and it is still going strong. Blends beautifully. I don’t get why some think this is a loud blender; maybe it’s the surface it sits on that can affect the sound? Mine sits on a granite counter and it doesn’t move at all, it sits solidly, so I don’t know why others have said it ‘walks’ around. Perhaps they have tile counters that are slick or uneven? Anyway, we love this blender and haven’t had any issues. The price is fantastic and I see they now sell replacement blender jars if needed or wanted. Buy this blender!

The first time I used it I made some smoothies. Other reviews said that this blender made better smoothies - grinding up the seeds. That was not true; the blackberry seeds were just as seedy as when I used my old blender. But I figured, no problem - maybe I just didn't blend the smoothies long enough.The second time I used the blender was to make hummus. That is what I bought it for - because it claims to have a high-powered motor. I have always made hummus using my 1970s Hamilton Beach 7-speed blender. That old blender works like a champ but I have to make small batches.I bought this MengK blender so that I could make larger batches of hummus. I made one batch (2 quarts) and before I was done, the thing just conked out completely! Along with emitting a hot or burning smell. There is no reset switch (there's something on the bottom but it has no effect).Do yourself a favor. Don't buy this piece of junk. It looks great and appears to work, at first, but when I tried to use it for a task a heavy-duty blender is meant for, it up and died on me.I reverted back to my old 7-speed Hamilton Beach blender, and finished up my batch of hummus that way.If you need a blender I suggest going to Goodwill and getting an old 1970s type blender like I have, It'll probably cost you about $10. Or maybe $5 at a yard sale. You'll get a better blender that way, and pay a whole lot less.

***Update***Recently I was given a Vitamix. The 5200 - a 2001 model that had been in a box never used. I jumped on the chance to have this even though I LOVE the MengK. I have to admit- there is not much difference and if I'm honest I like the MengK slightly better. The Vitamix is awesome, but I like the look of the MengK better and I barely ever had to use the tamper with it. I seem to use it every time with the Vitamix. I did give my beloved MengK to my bestie who has a ninja- but wanted something that would blend greens well. We are both happy with these hi power blenders. I updated my review to say if you are on a tight budget go for the MengK, you will not be disappointed!(Original Review) I've been researching hi power blenders off and on for a year or so and finally decided to buy one. Even though budget allowed I've always had a hard time shelling out 4 or 5 hundred bucks for a blender. I read the reviews on this one and went for it. I've had it two days and have to say it is really good. I made a berry smoothie yesterday and my daughter complained that it was too smooth. This morning I made a green smoothie filled with kale, spinach, and romaine, and it did fantastic! I even put in baby carrots and not one chunk! I have the 1400w model. I did buy the 4 year warranty, I figured for 17 bucks it couldn't hurt. So far I'm in love. I attempted hummus, and it really crushed the beans, but I need a good recipe. I do not regret not buying a vitamix. However, I've just learned about vacuum blenders and might go for one of those next year.It appears to be manufactured in China and apparently in Italy is popular because when searching for video reviews I found two in Italy.

I'm tweaking my review, and raising my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars. I've deleted all the nit-picky stuff I evaluated originally, and just want to say that we've been using this blender for over a year now, and it has held up well. There were some parts that I thought might break over the course of time, but clearly whoever designed this knew what they were doing.We started the Plant Paradox Diet a couple of months ago, which involves a lot of smoothies and purees. This machine handles it all effortlessly. Originally I was concerned that the blades might not get really clean, because the base doesn't unscrew. However I just run a little hot water from the tap in there (maybe add a little soap occasionally)....turn the blender on for a few seconds....and have the peace of mind of knowing that all the cracks and crevices have been sanitized properly.This blender is a great value. As another reviewer pointed out, it delivers comparable features to the Vitamix at a third of the price. When you're on a Social Security budget like us, it just isn't reasonable to drop $500 on a blender. Nice that we could get what we needed at a price we can afford.

The blender was initially a great value purchase (purchased in June 2018). Our family blends probably 7-10 smoothies a week. The machine did a nice job blending ice and/or frozen fruit etc. However, after 4-5 months the bottom starting leaking on the container. It has progressively gotten worse. I have read several other reviews and this appears to be a reoccurring problem.

Edit: customer service reached out after this review and replaced the blender jar. All good!The blender performance is acceptable , blends everything smoothly and quickly. It’s reasonably easy to clean. Overall, it felt like a value for a performance blender.The issue is that the base has started to crack in several places. Note that I’m only blending 2-4 smoothies a week, by no means heavy use. I attempted to email the manufacturer and got no reply. Overall, I can’t recommend this blender due to how poorly it has aged and customer service being non-existent. This is classic Amazon junk, where it looks great in the ad and you think you’re getting a value, but end up with something poorly made and no way to get replacement parts.
