Awesome stair railings!!! (Updated)
I was very pleased with the quality and durability of this stair rail. I was afraid it would be thin metal, but is actually heavy wrought iron. Packed very well for shipping. VERY sturdy, fastened to my wooden stair treads. Looks really nice. Will probably buy another to go on the other side of the stairs as well. Was shocked to see that the box included two drill bits, a hex head screwdriver bit, an extension, and a socket for the lag bolts. Also a pencil - already sharpened! Bolts for installation in concrete or wood are included. Washers are on the bolts for concrete mounting. Take these off and use with the lag bolts for wood mounting. All you really need to install these is an electric drill. Installation instructions are very good. One word of caution - drill the floor mounting holes a bit closer to the outer edge instead of in the center of the hole you marked as stated in the instructions. Otherwise, you will have problems with the socket not fitting between the bolt head and the vertical section of the rail. The only problem I had with installation is that the metal is too strong for the self-tapping screws to really bite. I drilled a starter "dimple", then was able to start the screws without a problem. Update - I ordered a second railing so that I would have one on both sides of the stairs. Be aware that the company has modified the design, and is now shipping the new version. The Amazon listing still shows the older design, and the model number did not change. Instead of the top rail being oval shaped, it is now rectangular. Personally, I prefer the older design. The old rail is slightly wider and easier to grip. I think it also looks better. Either still works fine, of course. The new version looks more contemporary. There is a card in the box that tells you if you end up with a mis-matched set, they will send you one of the older design. Iโm still waiting for my replacement to arrive. Customer support has been very responsive via text message.

Great quality, fast installation
The attention to detail in the packaging, the tools and drill bits provided, and the installation guide with QR codes for more information was impressive. Delivery was fast and the install was easy. The end product is very sturdy and looks modern and clean. Highly recommended for a quality DIY option!

Great product. Have ONE question
Bought 4 of these last fall but too late in the season to install. One piece had a tiny problem with thread insert but they very quickly replaced it. Fantastic customer service. I have one important question. The stairs in the pic are at my mom's garage. They are the 2-piece hollow pre-cast type. Where the treads are, they are probably 1 1/2" thick. Will the supplied concrete fasteners work? Or, are they too long (meant for solid concrete). Also, I'm terrified of these cracking the stairs. What a sick sound that would be! Any experience with this? Thanks! :-) ***Update: I think I can answer my own question after installing these. It went really smooth. If you look at the second pic, I located the bases near the point that the vertical wall of the pre-cast meets the step inside. It's curved there so there's extra thickness and not too close to the edge. This way, 3 out of 4 studs went in as they would in solid concrete. On the most inboard hole on each one (furthest from corner), the drill goes right through at about half-depth of the green line on pencil-gauge. What I did was only hammer that stud in about half way and stop. Then it tightened up normally. Just had to cut off excess stud with disc grinder after rail installed. You can see all 3 rails installed (house one in distance). 24 studs and no cracks, thank god. Great product!
