CHARM Women Cotton Sun Hat - Organic Summer Bucket Reversible Chemo Cap Foldable

So easy to carry around. This hat is soft, comfy and reversible, too, so you can choose which of the two colors you want facing out. I have a larger head, and it fits me very well. I think the jersey-type fabric has some stretch to it. This may help with fit for different sized heads. The hat folds small and thin so you easily can stick it in your bag. I got the navy/purple, but now kind of wish I had gotten a lighter color, so I may get a second. The style is cloche-like, and it provides quite a bit of shade around the face.

The back of the hood itself is baggy, but it makes putting up long hair and the hat overtop very easy. There is no elastic in the headband, but it probably won't fall off unless you do some gymnastics - which is why I bought this, as I've had migraines since a recent concussion and extra pressure on the head isn't a good thing. (Added benefit of no worries for any elastic wearing out.) Reversing it is very simple; I like the purple color, but the khaki side is convenient for when I want to match something neutral with what I'm wearing (like red, orange, brown, navy blue or black, which the purple shade wouldn't go too well with). It also folds up small into itself, which bigger hats with wider brims can't do. Easily stashable in a bag if you fold it up and put a rubber band around it. If you have short hair or your hair is up, the back design also lets some airflow get to the nape of your neck. Lack of tightness around the headband-area is also a big win for airflow. Add in that it's washable and lightweight, and you can't lose. I've had it for a few days and live in California - can wear my sunglasses effortlessly under it, too, with no added pressure on my temples, from the hat! Definitely recommend. I've always been a sucker for Japanese-made goods, as they're crafted and designed so well (bento boxes, Zoujirushi thermoses, gaming systems, etcetera), and I'm happy to report this one did not disappoint! It's a little pricier than I had wanted, but it really feels like quality and it'll last a long time. Here in CA I'll probably wear it every day, so I'll try to update this review when a little more time has passed, but so far, so good!

I’ll wear this in the fall. It’s really hot. Maybe they should look into seersucker. Yikes. I had sweat head. I have another of their hats I wear all winter that’s totally adorable. I like that they’re oversized and don’t press on my head.

I love that this is reversible for both the black/grey combination and no raw seams. I love slouchy hats and I have very short hair and a round face and look terrible in a lot of styles of hats but this one looks good on me. I get a lot of migraines and don't like wearing hats when I have one, but I need to block the sun from my eyes and this just sits nicely on my head. It's also a nice weight and gives protection from the wind without being too warm when a baseball cap would leave my ears too exposed. I have a very large head and would be happier if this were a teeny bit bit bigger, but I still love it.

From the picture, one might think this hat is rigid and structured. It is not. It is more like two colors of very thin jersey reversible materials bonded together to give a two-sided head cover. Pros: It can be folded up and carried in a pocket or purse. The two colors allow for (1) cold months and (2) moderate weather months of wear. The wrap-around visor shades eyes. It is washable. It holds heat well and will keep the head warm in cold weather. Cons: It is not structured. It is very light-weight so only the visor will hold any shape. It can not be worn in the rain without becoming dripping drenched. It holds heat and would become uncomfortable at certain temperatures. It is very pricey for just a jersey-cloth head cover. Overall: I like the wrap around visor. It gives a new, softer, more feminine look (that goes with the more recent transition to hour-glass figures,) as opposed to ball caps and female fedoras. (For me: Florals and pearls are for women and girls. Baseball caps are for boys, and fedoras are for men.) I can recommend this hat because it is utility friendly. I took off one star because the light weight and the fluidity of the fabric will take some getting used to for me.

Love the style of this hat. It is adorable. While the band fits around my head - it is looser as it hangs down in the back and that provide much more comfort than a close fitting cloche - it ends up being a bit cooler. I bought this to keep the sun off my head while I walk on the beach in Florida. I also needed it to cover my ears to lessen the effect of the wind. This hat does all of that - and I think I mentioned, it is wonderfully good-looking and very soft.

This hat surprised me. The fabric was not what I expected. It’s very lightweight Jersey T-shirt like material which is perfect for my travel bag. It lays flat and reshapes with no issue. Being reversible is a bonus. The colors are very nice (navy and lilac). For reference I wear a medium hat size and this fit perfect. The short stretch band in back is not tight. I plan to purchase more. I do agree with others since its cotton will likely fade in the sun, which I don’t care bc it’s adorable. All hats fade in the sun eventually unless synthetic material. If you are looking for a soft cotton hat with style that will not give you a headache, here it is.
