The XLR works great. But of course Amazon sent a me defective one.
It's about 60 / 40 with DEFECTIVE items from Amazon. But the XLR Plate itself works just fine once I got one that wasn't defective.

Edges are very sharp ! Be careful when handling.
I had to file down the edges of both plates, I had ordered 1 of each plate, male and female XLR's.Other than that these should work for my purpose.
