Heavy gauge, true musical instrument.
Very good quality brass, engraving gives it a premium look. The interlinking woven thread / rope is of great quality too. But the real deal is the heavy gauge of the manjira. You strike at different places and it creates deep, sonorous notes. The full frontal strike though is not as desirable with much bigger ones, but this one does just fine in regular Bhajan-kirtan as a percussion accompaniment.
