Expensive,Not a good match for my purposes.**Update and extra star added**, see below
The following is my initial review for the Bianyo Mixed Media paper, 150 count. So far, I’ve tested this paper with colored pencils, watercolor, gouache, and Bellofy brush tip markers. I think I’ve achieved the best results so far with the colored pencils, made by Kalour. I’ve posted the image above. That being said, the Bellofy markers did NOT bleed through, which is a plus. As I work with this paper and other different types of media, both wet and dry, I may update this review. As of now, I prefer the Fabriano mixed media fat pad, also 150 sheets, albeit, a smaller sized sheet, for around $15. Speaking of sizing, I think that this is where I had a problem with this paper by Bianyo: the sizing. I’m primarily a watercolor artist. When I put this paper to the watercolor test, it immediately began pilling and staining. This paper felt, acted, and smelled a lot like construction paper given to children in school. Gouache had a better result with this paper. I did not try pastel or graphite.**UPDATE** I have since used this paper to pull some Moku Hanga woodblock prints, intended as rough drafts. Because of this, the ensuing prints on the paper I’m showing here are NOT cleaned up, final drafts. However, after seeing the quality of this paper, and how well it stood up to this task ( I would not hesitate to make greeting cards with this paper and my woodblocks), I would like to upgrade my review, add another star to bring the count from 3 stars to 4, because the printmaking accomplishment is not a small one, IMO. It means that there are uses yet for this paper that are still waiting to be discovered. I will use a dedicated paper like Washi for limited editions, but this paper is beautiful for other printmaking tasks. It took well to being dampened and scrubbed at with ink and baren, and came away from the experience looking crisp and perky.

great value
I wasn't expecting paper of this quality. It was a pleasant surprise to find that the weight and texture of this paper is just perfect for artwork.

Nice weight, light tooth, optimal size for multi-use, unbound
This paper is a real multi-tasking power pack. It's large enough to create nice size greeting cards and frameable wall art. And with a little bit of size adjustment it can be used for printable art purposes as well. I'm a bit too heavy handed with wet media so I will likely limit that to marker only but instead use it more for drier mediums like colored pencil and perhaps some stamping. I like that it came simply packed and not bound in book form, and equally approve of having a sturdy box to store it in to protect the corners. It's a very generous stack and should last a good long time. I appreciate that it is a bright white and not dull. The tooth is sufficient to provide just a slight texture without interfering with the clarity of my stamped image. I'm a big fan.

Wonderful for armature child artists and watercolors
While I can't speak as an actual artist, I can speak as a mom of a 4 year old "artist" who maybe uses a little more water than color while watercoloring - haha! Nice large size sheets. Can be cut down to make cards for the grands, etc. We're very much enjoying this paper for some art-filled family time creating!

Heavy stock and takes some materials well
I like the size for my regular drawing exercises. I found that it took Mark or much better than watercolor. Watercolors seem to skate on the surface more. It’s also good for pencil drawing. The paper has a light tooth. I would recommend it for its volume and flexibility.

Thick heavy, excellent quality
I like trying out new media and paper for my art and the Bianyo Mixed media paper caught my eye. It is a strong, thick brand of paper that I find very versatile. I tried different types of media on it to observe the results. I really like how the pencil, colored pencil and graphite came out - slightly textured. I did not use rough erasers on it but it appears to be able to withstand the rougher types. It is perfect for alcohol inks and the paper absorbs it without it bleeding all the way through. The oil pastels came out great, but my personal preference is for the paper to have a little more texture for use with that medium as with well as with watercolor. I also like the size of the paper 11x14 and I can cut it down if I need smaller sheets.Overall, the paper quality is excellent and the paper quite versatile. I have yet to try acrylic or use collaging techniques but from what I have tried so far, it will do great with any media.Really nice paper that I will continue to enjoy using and will be sure to get more of!

Great Art Paper
Really heavy, slight texture. I really like this paper. My kids do too, so I hid it. But the size (11x14) and the quality really inspire them to do their best, so I dole it out slowly. I have used it with graphite for sketching, sharpie for illustrating and pigment color markers. I'm very happy with it in all these respects. It absorbs inks very well and doesn't leak through much with Sharpie. My pigment markers bleed through everything, they are the big Prismacolor dual-ended ones. I posted a pic of how much the bleed trough is. Not much, comparatively. If you're familiar with Prismacolors and their ilk, depending on the paper used, they can get dark spots where you outline, do a double pass or linger too long. They also have some bleed (pigment travels out a bit from where you place your marker tip). This paper had minimal bleed and was very forgiving about dark spots and the color was very even, so it is absorbing well. I like it!
