The Story is Awesome

Another great surfer story with some returning big bad guys

I liked it. Yeah I enjoy seeing the surfer do things. And Thanos is a beast. 4 more words required

I wished I got Tom Christopher to do the inks like he did when the original series was done with Ron Lim. The story was thin, it didn't feel deep enough or fully developed it felt like a old school Marvel Loosely written story and the artist makes up the rest of it visually which is disappointing.

At leas they used the Reality stone to justify it somewhat. The parallels between Thanos and Nebula as well as Norris and Thanos. It’s very cute. The characters are loved by the author. It’s a fun read!

Two of my favourite Marvel characters of all time. Especially since the one has been dead a long time (which is really kinda odd in the comic world).

This book is set the post Infinity Gauntlet nineties era as written primarily by Jim Starlin and Ron Marz, so this is pure nostalgia especially with Ron Lim pencilling! Therefore it’s core audience isn’t ten year olds or new readers yet it’s written very simplistically. Characters just turn up, spout their schtick like ‘at last world domination bwa haha’ quick fight and done. Thanos is still way too powerful although Starlin did write him like that towards the end. But Marz, who wrote the *outstanding* Cosmic Powers limited series should have ratcheted up the key villain’s capabilities. This was basic fan service but honestly, many fans could write something far better. So a nostalgic read but disappointing.

Amazon change policy and i waited this item more then 2 days. Arrived whacked in the corner (in picture). I guess from seller.Story is.... for underage readers, but my love for silver surfer is big and i always love to read comics with him.

The Silver Surfer may very well be one of the most ridiculous concepts ever.At the same time, the Silver Surfer may be one of the coolest characters ever conceived.Despite the return of writer Ron Marz and artist Ron Lim, the story doesn’t really add to the legend of the Surfer at all even with the return of legendary Captain Marvel.
