Hill's Science Diet Adult 1-6 Wet Cat Food

I've been a big fan of science diet for years. My cat just turned 4 and she's been on it since she was a kitten. ive never had any issues with it. she's a really healthy cat and I absolutely credit it to her diet. Although a bit expensive, science diet is a great choice.

I have purchased this food on and off for many years but with owning 6 or more cats, price rules. Now having only 2, a 15 year old and a 1 year old, I buy it buy the case. Within just a week, I could feel the difference in my cat's fur; the scruffy look and coarse fur were replaced by smooth and silky fur. Neither cat hesitates to dig right in when served. Although I but the 5oz cans, it comes in a 3oz can as well. The good news/bad news is that this food doesn't seem to have preservatives (good) so if all the food is not served and eaten at one sitting, it will start to spoil within hours (bad) unless refrigerated. The can says the type of cut is "minced"; however, I dare you to tell it apart from a pate. There is no gravy to be licked up separately leaving chunks of food but a moist even consistency of food and a "sticky" coating that cats seem to really like. I like the fact that it is not loaded with poor quality protein like a popular 3oz can of cat food loaded with gravy and a guaranteed trip to the vet for renal disease after a couple months. I am very happy to pay a little more for Hill's food because I can see actually see the benefits of this diet in my cats

Since I don't actually eat this stuff, this review is purely hear-say, but my cats all seem to like it better than the other flavors they've tried. They must like the flavor, however, they don't like the chunky filler that's used in this food and they always leave any of it they encounter. Hill's seems to fill this food with something like very coarse chunks of corn and my cats just won't touch that part. They're very good at eating around the chunks which leaves me with more clean-up than I like. But some of the other Hill's canned foods are even worse about chunks, like the tuna flavor. In that case they lick off the gravy and leave the rest. They seem to prefer this flavor but it's not perfect - so no 5-stars.

This flavor and the turkey/liver are the only 2 wet foods my cat will eat. She stays healthy and her coat/skin look great. The cat food is more pate than minced. There are no 'chunks' in it. It was a good value on Prime Day, although it is one of the higher priced wet food options on the market. There have been issues in the past with many dented or leaking cans even though the 24 cans were packed securely. This led to a lot of waste of money and of product. The case Amazon truck delivered yesterday had no dented cans. The expiration date is in 2025. Happy me, happy cat. I am waiting 2nd delivery of the turkey/liver flavor in 2 days and am cautiously hopeful.

I purchased this cat food for my cat because I have been reading material and realize the food I have been giving him wasn’t super healthy Or helpful for his longevity. Wasn’t sure that he was going to like it because it was good for you food but he loved it he ate it and demands it twice a day now and I, of course, give it to him. He loves the flavor and the texture. He must. He used to like his dry food just fine. Now he just turned his nose up at his dry food and wants this science diet stuff. I have a happy healthier cat. I remember reading on here before I bought it that said your cats behavior would improve and I thought that’s not going to happen. But it didn’t happen! My cat became more active! and his fur DOES LOOK shinier. I’m happy. As far as value for money, it’s a little bit pricey but not so pricey because my cat’s worth it.

Raja & Tinkerbell said yummy! I say, since I’ve fed them Hills Science Diet wet cat food they are very healthy. Raja 11yo. is no longer having hair ball issues, his coat is sooo soft I sometimes mistake him for 3yo. Tinkerbell when I’m petting them, as they are often on my lap at same time at night. Also Raja was over weight, but now perfect weight & active as Tink! Well Worth the price to me. This goes for not just the savory salmon but also savory chicken & tender tuna dinner. I buy all three so they have variety & proper nutrition for each. Because of they’re age differences I cover 1-6 & 7+ with these 3. Best canned cat food for picky eaters too!

My cat eats this, but isn't as enthusiastic about it as she is about other brands. In addition, this canned food sticks to the inside of the can, and feels very compacted when trying to put in her bowl. I know that may sound odd...but feel this may not be the highest quality... the other canned food I purchased comes out of the can easier and has less of a paste consistency.

I love my cats and they love this food, so it gets 5 stars. Even though I think it's expensive but I bought it on sale, so it gets to keep all 5 stars.

I received a bad case of this product. It had no smell and there was some dark stuff at the bottom of the can. I checked several cans. Our pets would not touch it when they usually devour it. When I tried to return it, Amazon said this product does not qualify for a return. Very disappointed that I am out nearly C$100. I guess I wont be buying this from Amazon anymore.

It's the only thing that brings the cat and the dog within inches of each other, without any hisses or fur flying by... The cat absolutely loves it. The dog too, maybe a bit too much... Good stuff!
