Have it aired up to a couple of inches. It will hold more air than we have in it.

What is the size of this product? "about the product" says: l: 65 in x w: 19.3 in. but "product details" says: 12.2 x 16.1 x 4.9 inches.

The product is 65 X 19.3 and when it states product details, that probably means the size of the box the product is delivered in.

Can you cover it with material?

I don't see why not. You could make a cover with a sheet. We put a blanket or a towel on it.
