Q: I've read this works well to clean stamps and blocks to get stamps to adhere to block. Does it really work? Do you use a cotton ball to clean with?

It does clean stamps and blocks well. I tried several times, but could not get stamps to adhere to the block using it. It is a good product, but not for this.

Q: what is the alcohol %?

This is what the label reads: "Active ingredient: methyl salicylate 0.5% v/v Also contains: industrial methylated spirit 95% v/v, diethyl phthalate and virgin castor oil." There is a "Caution: this medicine is flammable, keep away from naked flames."

Pretty much. From memory it smells exactly the same. Think my mom had it when i was small for disinfecting stuff. Did what I needed it to do

Vielleicht nicht so üblich, aber ich nutze diese Spirit um meine Strickmaschinen nadeln zu reinigen, einfach etwa 50 stück in einem (Marmelade) Glas mit Deckel tun, umschütteln und trocknen lassen.
