Good quality, sturdy and compact
So far I love this grow tent. I didn't know I needed it when I got my Hydro Garden tower, then I saw how bright thise grow lights are in a dark room and the need became obvious. This tent is the perfect size for the space I wanted to place it, It is big enough to house my tower and one or two small pots. It was easy/pretty straight forward to put together. (No help or tools needed) I haven't hung grow lights yet because I haven't needed to since my hydro tower came with the LED grow lights on all for sides, but the included support/hang bars at the top are a nice option to have. There are plenty of openings for fans, cords etc. while still keeping the light and sound contained. I am looking forward to starting my seedlings indoors in my grow tower before transplanting to the outside garden beds, but I am enjoying being able to try my hand at growing something from seed to harvest indoors without having to transpalnt to outside. The little viewing window is also a plus so I can check on my plants without having to open/unzip the main openinig. Oh, yea, the material is thick and sturdy and heavy weight. Not plastic or thin/cheap at all. The zipper is pretty tough as well and though it does not slide as easily as I would like it doesn't appear ready to tear if I have to tug on it a liitle either. I did add a fan to the top for good air circulation when the door is closed but I didn't need the accordian type vent tube and my fan placement was still simple and easy to accomplish.

Decent tent for the price
My tent was great, I have no complaints. It did it's job. I had no problem with light seeping through anywhere. As far as durability goes, mine has held up perfectly so far, no rips or breaks anywhere. It was easy for my boyfriend to put together. The bars are strong enough to hold my light and could hold another. For the price, it's a decent tent.

For Filament Prints
Bought for filament 3D printing. I haven't messed with this tent too much but it feels nearly perfect for the price. Pros: * Very easy to assemble * Cheap * Has several different-sized holes for different duct sizes Cons: * Slightly smaller than advertised. I've never measured a grow tent so idk if this is common, but the 48x48x80 measures more like 47x47x77.5. was kinda disappointed about that (mostly because of lost base size) but again for the price it's negligible. * Construction. I haven't hung up my filter or fan yet but we'll see how it holds. If there's no update here then it worked fine. The poles are kinda thin for such a tall tent, but again for the price it's impressive imo. * No inside zippers. I'm using this for filament printing and am not going to use harsh filaments anytime soon, so it's not super important that I zip up inside. Still, it would be nice to have zippers inside for something so tall that I'll be inside. For like $40-$80 more you could get a tent that's much higher quality. For someone like me who purchased a bunch of equipment at once and is trying to cut some costs, this one was exactly what I was looking for.

Glad I didnt listen to some of the reviews. Tent material is solid.
Some reviews said seams are weak and tent material is thin. Some others said they ripped it trying to pull the tent shell over the posts. I worked corner to corner when putting the tent shell over, making sure the poles were snug against the corners and tent top/bottom before moving on to another corner. Nothing was forced and went up in less than 10 minutes. The tent material is much thicker than I imagined. I don't know how much different other brands are, but it doesn't seem like it needs to be any thicker. The seams feel solid and everything is intact and stable. I also read reviews about the zipper being sketchy, but again not sure how much more durable it would really need to be. It feels very solid. I will say I'll apply the same touch when zipping as I do my lightweight backpacking gear: a light touch goes a long way and they've lasted years. If you want to rip a zipper at Mach4, well... maybe you do need heavy-duty zippers on everything. But for a reasonable zip, they seem super sturdy. I just got it, but so far some of the worrisome reviews haven't applied to mine. I will try and update once it has some wear.

Nice tent for the price
I like how this tent is pretty inexpensive. It certainly is not the quality of vivosun. The fabric is thinner, the zippers are a little finicky. The clear viewing port is good for visual only (if you like to take pictures of your grow this is important). This is perfect if you are growing an auto flower. I bought it as a drying tent with an inline duct and fan (which cost more than the tent itself) Construction seems adequate. It took me about 45 minutes from unboxing to complete assembly. Interlocking poles were clearly labeled. Corners are press fit plastic type. The poles are smaller diameter and appear to be about 3/4 of an inch in thickness. It did fully support the weight of a 1200 watt grow light that had to weigh around 30 to 35 pounds. It also came with two cross member poles that can be positioned at the top of the tent to provide mounting support for lights and other accessories like fans and filters. There is one access port on the top, back and sides. If I were looking for a small tent for a small grow of 1 plant, this would be a good choice, economical and i would recommend. I did not check for light leaks but did notice some light coming from around the velcroed viewing and ventilation ports..

Awesome bang for the buck, and the 24x24x72 option was a huge upgrade over the old 48" tall model!
Solid 5-star tent given the price! I own a vivosun 2x4 and a melonfarm 2x2x4 that ended up being too small. The footprint was good for the single tent, but needed more height and noticed this new 2x2x6 came out. At about 60% of the cost of a vivosun, i will say im impressed by the quality. The only thing the vivosun has over this is the bars which are more robust - but in a 2x2 footprint you are not going to be hanging too much weight. Zippers are great, fabric is flawless, view window is small but not a big deal. Plenty of air ports - the ONLY thing its missing is a way to route the cables for a GrowHub through the front. Im going to cut a hole and put a cable grommet in there so it doesn't look ghetto, and that should solve my problem. If your looking at a 2x2 and dont have an issue with how tall it is, skip the 48" tall unit and go with the 72" tall, you wont regret the extra room! (ESPECIALLY if you plan to mount a filter, exhaust fan, and lights all above the plants)

Hit and Miss
EDITED to include review for second subsequent purchase of same product: As a dedicated indoor gardener, I have had a positive experience with Melon Farmer products in the past. However, my recent purchase of a second MELONFARM Grow Tent has been quite disappointing. While my initial experience with this brand was excellent, I've noticed a significant difference in quality with this second tent. Within a week, I've encountered issues with light leaks and zipper malfunctions. These problems are particularly frustrating as they can negatively impact plant growth and overall cultivation. Given these issues, I'm concerned about the long-term durability of this tent. I'm now faced with the prospect of purchasing another tent from a different brand, which is disheartening considering my previous satisfaction with Melon Farmer products. It's important to note that my initial experience with the MELONFARM 4x2 was positive. However, the recent quality decline has significantly impacted my overall satisfaction. ORIGINAL REVIEW As an avid indoor gardener, I've had the pleasure of using a variety of grow tents over the years. However, the MELONFARM Grow Tent has truly exceeded my expectations. Key Features and Benefits: Minimal Light Leaks: One of the most frustrating aspects of grow tents is light leakage, which can disrupt the plant's light cycle. The MELONFARM 4x2 is exceptionally well-sealed, ensuring optimal growing conditions. Smooth-Operating Zippers: Zippers are often a weak point on grow tents, but MELONFARM has nailed it. The zippers on this tent are smooth and easy to operate, making access to your plants a breeze. Sturdy Construction: The tent's sturdy frame and durable materials ensure long-lasting performance, even in demanding growing environments. Optimal Growing Conditions: The reflective interior maximizes light distribution, while the ventilation ports allow for proper airflow and temperature control. Overall Impression: So far, my plants are thriving in this tent. The combination of minimal light leaks, smooth zippers, and sturdy construction makes the MELONFARM 4x2 a top choice for indoor gardeners. If you're looking for a reliable and efficient grow tent, I highly recommend giving this one a try.
