I decided to build a simple water-cooling loop. First time, so you can imagine my thoughts about water and electronics. I did not want water destroying any component in my PC. Fear is not even close to describe what I was feeling. I decided to buy this pump because those videos with people and paper towels waiting for the water to leak are not very convincing. I found out that my loop was not leak-proof. With this pump I could check the whole loop or segments at a time just using water blocks. I found the 'air' leak and learnt at the same time. In the picture you can see that the GPU's outlet is not connected to the tubing going to the radiator. The tubing connected to the reservoir inlet is also not connected to the radiator. There are water blocks at both ends I left the pump connected to the loop for an hour after I fixed the problem. The pressure did not drop a bit. The teaching here is that all parts of a loop are very well made because they are based on water and gas pipe designs that has been used for many, many years. Usually the leak is caused by the person building the loop... like me. If you are new to this, you cannot fail with one of these pumps. You can save a lot of money by investing some in this kit.

This is a great item to have when building a custom loop. I would have had a leak without this and I am glad I purchased it. It comes with a g1/4 adapter which you can plug directly into your system. If you are building your own custom loop I would definitely get one of these.

Works perfectly as expected

The whole thing delayed my build, there was a leak and ended up being this leak tester the one with the leak. My build is now fully done without any leaks but not thanks to this. Just avoid it

Not worth the money, the indicator broke after 3 uses, it can be used still counting from the number stuck on the indicator, which is not longer zero, however for the money this is not really good value.

I'll give Corsair credit, this device helped me get my build completely tight. It did this but making me test every millimeter of my loop over and over again for five hours as the pressure gauge wouldn't raise at all. I eventually had the sense to test it on my known working old radiator, that I had just replaced. Still read zero pressure. The leak was in the tester not the loop. £30 for a leak tester that leaks. Finally I understand why the logo is a pirate ship.
