I found these strings to be a bit sub par. I’ve been through three packs of these and they will easily break. I play other string instruments and know they should hold up better (considering what the seller says they’re made of). Also I always take cake to use a delicate hand while tuning my erhu. So, definitely read the comments on other strings before choosing a set.

I really think that the strings can sound better, but let's be honest. You're not gonna get the best if you only paid 4USD for it. However, I do recommend keeping a pair just in case you run out of your better strings. Also, if you're just starting out, this isn't bad. You should just get the feel for it first, especially if you're just borrowing an instrument from a friend. I don't want you to spend 10-20USD on strings if you find out that you don't feel comfortable playing the instrument at all. Overall, however, I like it. It isn't the best, but it's decent.
