RidgeCrest Clearlungs Extra Strength, Homeo/Herbal Decongestant , 120 Veg Capsules

Should be sold in the cold medicine aisle! It is better than any cold medicine sold there. I suffer from chronic sinus infections from colds and chest infections if the cold reaches my lungs, both produce an extreme amount of mucus. Probably a result of having sjogrens. This works quickly, and I can breathe normally fairly soon. What I love and this may be gross is that is allows me to blow the infected mucus from my nose. I have narrow nasal passages and every time I get a cold I immediately clog up and can't breathe. I have used nasal sprays and neti pots (tried also all OTC cold medicines and breathe right strips, and natural medicines) which work but for a short time and do not help me clear out the infected mucus. I'm usually miserable for two weeks and have missed many days of work because of a cold gone infected. I wish I had known about this product sooner. It really does balance out the mucus levels. I bought the extra strength blue bottle. I will of course buy this product again. I take one pill before I sleep and I take one pill when I wake up. I had increased it to two pills before I sleep when I had really bad congestion, peak of the cold for two nights. Used for a week and a half. This was the first time I ever remember having a cold and not being miserable. I love this stuff. I can think in the day and my nose doesn't bother me until I need to blow it. I had a bad sinus infection in Jan 2015 which had me hunting again for relief, I bought this for my next cold. I caught another cold in March 2015 and it is over and here is my review and recommendation. If you suffer from chronic misery from colds, I recommend trying this product, it worked for me and I couldn't be happier.

I have asthma and lung complications from Lyme's. These work wonders, as long as I take them regularly (after a month or so of taking them everyday, I could notice continued benefits). Yes, they do work within a short time of taking the pills (sometimes I could feel them opening up my airways within a half hour!), but the more long-term you take them, the better off your lungs will be. I can inhale deeper and hold my breath longer, I'm not wheezing as bad, and stairs aren't as daunting as usual! I can notice a difference if I don't take these regularly; even if my breathing is doing better, these pills just always make them perform their best. I love them so much, I've been trying to talk my fellow smokers into buying them, because I know how much it'll help them. The bottle says to take one or two; well, I've taken three at a time before. The only "bad" thing that happened is it made me feel almost high because of how well they worked (the same thing would happen when I would get cracked at the chiropractor, it's like suddenly my body gets a rush of oxygen for a change and doesn't know what to do with it). I'm not sure how someone without all my ridiculous health problems might feel from that dose. I have heart issues, and didn't experience any issues at that dose, so that's definitely a good sign. Just keep in mind, these ARE extra-strength, so I wouldn't suggest trying to overdo it at once, just to be safe. Also, bless them for making an extra-strength version, because I hate taking pills, and it's so much easier to just take one or two (and no, they're not horse pills, they've your average capsule size). If I had bought the regular strength, I think the sheer amount of pills every day would make me stop taking them. These are strong enough that I feel better even taking just one dose a day! I think this is my 3rd or 4th bottle. I'm definitely hooked, now that I know what this oxygen stuff everyone's always talking about is.

My dad is 79 years old and a lung cancer survivor afflicted with COPD. Once the cancer was gone, he was still having problems breathing due to the COPD. I have had a very long standing upper respiratory infection. Had 2 rounds of antibiotics. Afterwards about 10% of the infection was still in my lungs. Tried this for about a week & it gave me slow, steady improvement but I still suffered coughing jags/impaired breathing episodically. Finally needed a steroid pack from doctor which seemed to be required in my case: NOW I am beginning to breathe normally & see notable improvement. Clear Lungs Extra Strength is expensive. I am not returning it because a) it did some good b) the jar says it is useable until mid-2026 & c) possibly before mid-2026 society may have real supply problems & this for me was at least something of a partial remedy.

I was in an herbal store in my community looking for elderberry since it came recommended by a friend. I overheard the sales lady talking to someone else about a product that helps with congestion. My ears perked up as I have been suffering from a variety of respiratory issues for years - chronic cough, rounds of bronchitis, constant chest congestion and pain, shortness of breath. I have an inhaler but it just doesn't work. I've ran the gamut of "cures" from steroids, OTC meds and antibiotics. Nothing ever worked and all had side effects. Take note ladies -- The most interesting and unexpected side effect I encountered was a change in my menstrual cycle. It actually became regular and hadn't been for years! I attribute this to the ingredient Dong Quai, which is considered the "female ginseng" because of its balancing effect on the female hormonal system.

At the risk of sounding overly dramatic, I have to rave about this amazing product. I had a lingering cough, the result of the flu that transitioned into a major sinus/ear infection, that plagued me for over 3 months. I had tried everything- prescription antibiotics and steroid nasal sprays, over the counter decongestants, allergy pills, saline sprays, humidifier... you name it. I generally hate taking medications and try to find alternate ways to treat conditions whenever possible, and after 3 months of a daily buffet of different pills my body felt sluggish and toxic. My worst time of day was the evening. Mucus would start to build up and I knew I would sleep poorly. Most nights I was up multiple times, coughing/gagging myself awake from the post-nasal drip. After 3 months of this, and the cumulative effects of lack of sleep, I was beyond frustrated and depressed. I made an appointment with an ENT in our area to see if there was anything else to do, but I couldn’t get in for over a month. I came across reviews for thus product last week and they really sounded too good to be true. But, since I was desperate, I had nothing to lose. I got the bottle on Monday and took 2 pills with dinner. Monday evening I slept worse than I had in months and pretty much spent the whole night awake, coughing up tons of crud (gross, I know). But Tuesday night, I slept like a baby. It’s been 3 nights now of solid rest. My cough is about 90% gone, and when I do cough it is far less “productive” than it had been. Everyone else has said it, so this is redundant, but... I’ve suffered from asthma since birth. I’m 53 now. With years of lung damage, bronchitis and pneumonia are unfortunate frequencies for me. I have asthma, chronic chest, head, and nose congestion, seasonal and continuous allergies, and other breathing problems most of my life. I decided to give this a try. I was very skeptical it would do anything. I was wrong. The best I can describe it is as an anti-mucus. It very quickly seems to stop overproduction of mucus everywhere in the body. So it is useful both for upper and lower respiratory. I am not aware of any drug that does this. People point to Guaifenesin (Mucinex); it can be helpful but it does NOT reduce mucus, it thins it and often makes more of it. ClearLungs seems to suppress creation of mucus, and it does it surprisingly fast- 20 to 30 minutes and you know you took it. I am a little afraid to use it on an ongoing basis, so I just take it only when I am having especially bad days. I haven't really observed any negative side effects. My only disappointment is how expensive it is. My first order was $35 and now it is $43 a year later!
