Exam 98-364 MTA Database Administration Fundamentals

This has been one of the worst technical books I have read in quite some time.Just listing the top 3 problems with this book:1. The examples are not consistent and do not build on each other within the chapters.In one paragraph, you are working with a 2 column table for a juice company; in the next paragraph you are working with a different 2 column table for state capitals.2. There are figures that have no relevancy to the text they represent.The text says to look at the results of an 'update' statement; but the figure shows 3 rows of XML data.3. Examples that do not match the describing text.The text states 'table A' or 'role B'; but the example query uses 'table C' and 'Role W'.It almost looks like this version was updated or portions of the book were copy and pasted from another source.This book is in dire need of review and editing.And in doing so, might I recommend including the answers to the end-of-chapter questions? It is a study guide after all.

I bought this book in the hopes it was a good resource for Microsoft's 98-364 MTA Exam. It's not. It's a student handbook meant for the classroom. There are no answers to the questions at the end of each chapter. In addition there are no online resources by the publisher of this book. I actually called them (Wiley) and the answer was that the author "wants you to think about the answers". Personally I want to pass the test. For the amount of money that is being changed for this book, the sloppiness and laziness shown by not only Wiley, but Microsoft as well is simply unforgivable.

Poorly written. The questions at the end of the chapters aren't all covered in the text. I assume this is supposed to go with a instructor lead course. Not really much use on it's own.

Great book and really helped me on my final exam. I worked though this book twice in class and found an additional test bank and passed my exam on the first try. Would defiantly recommend as a supplemental tool.

Lots of material. But the study questions are in depth and without the answer sheet you could be off on your answer and not know it. I tried to get the answer sheet, however, was told I had to be an instructor in order to get it. You will need other sources to study by, this is only an outline of what might be on the test.

This book is poorly written and contains errors. Also there are no explanation of the answers to the chapter summary questions. I would NOT recommend this book especially for the price.

several typos and incorrect wording in questions. no answer key to chapter questions provided which I though was an extremely poor decision. It does still have a decent overview of topics but do not rely solely on this book to prepare you for the exam. go online for resources as well.

This books is full of errors and half-truths, but does adequately prepare you for the exam -- which is also full of errors, half-truths, and typos.

Got this book to help prepare for the exam and it does give questions to andwer at the end of each chapter but does not give you the answers. This means unless you are 100% sure of your answers you can't check if you are right or wrong.

This book was so boring, get an online course, it has less mistakes, more entertainment and better for passing your exam
