Great measuring cup!
I love this glass measuring cup. It’s very handy with its 3 pour spouts and lid. I am very careful with it since other reviews state that it breaks easily.

So sturdy & attractive!
I am so pleased with this purchase! This measuring glass is sturdier, heavier, and thicker glass than I expected which I am very pleased about - it has a very substantial feel in my hand. I love having the 3 spouts so I can pour easily in whatever direction I happen to be holding it. It has a good feel in my hands, just the right size to grasp and hold. I love having raised markings that are part of the glass itself. To me, it has almost a vintage appearance which I like. It is true that the lid does not snap on easily or tightly but that is not crucial for me and I am sure I will still use it occasionally. I am puzzled by the instructions that say do not use in microwave as it seems as sturdy as other glass measuring cups I have used. In fact, on the bottom it says "not for kitchen use" --what?? I have used it in the microwave to melt butter a few times with no problem. In spite of these quirks, I am totally taken with this cute 1 cup measure and am using it often and happily!!

Expect the lid to not be a lid . . . everything else is great.
The good: the measurements are hard-etched into the glass so there is nothing to wear-off or wash off. The glass will last for years as long as you don't break the glass..and the measurement marking will stay on for years. Obviously since there is no paint involved, the measurements will forever withstand dishwasher and/or any kind of washer. Perfect!! It's a slim measuring cup (unlike a "cup" shape measuring cup that is wide). Because it is slim, the measurements are slightly more accurate because a little change in volume will show up more clearly in a slimmer, taller measuring device than a short, fat, wide measuring device. Simple physics. So for more precise measuring, I use this one. For non-precise measuring, I use my regular measuring cups. Now the lid. . You can read other people's review about the lid and I have to agree as well: the lid is just... for show. It is not secure, not sealing, and does not work like a lid as if this is a tupperware or something. The lid is more for.. show. or allow you to stack something on top of the measuring cup, maybe. So, have the correct expectation up front: the measuring cup works great! The measurements are great and will never come off! It slim so it's great! And the lid--just throw it away and pretend it didn't come with a lid then you will end up feeling great!! (lol) The triple-pour spout... eh, it doesn't add much nor subtract anything. I haven't been wow'ed by the triple-pour spouts, nor does missing it cause me to feel regretful. Hope this review helped! :D

Lid is does not stay on at all, so is basically useless. Otherwise the cup is very nice.
I like the markings being formed into the glass itself, so they'll last forever. It can take a second longer to read without contrasting color, but that's the trade-off you make! I like the 3 pour spouts. However, I purchased this specifically because it had a lid. Unfortunately, the lid is pretty much useless! It doesn't actually snap into place in any way—just rests gently on the top. If I attach the lid as securely as it will go to the empty cup, then turn it upside down, the lid falls off. I wasn't expecting it to be completely airtight, but this isn't really much more useful than simply placing a saucer over the top. I guess it might work to minimize fridge taste if placing it in the fridge, but that's really all it would be good for IMHO. Quick note: I paid $3.49 for this, which felt like a bargain. However, the price has since increased by 4 times! I'd say the current price of $15 is a lot to pay for a small glass cup with an ill-fitting top--but $5-8 seems fair.

It's a good glass measuring cup
I understand the negative comments on this glass cup. The lid is not to seal tight but to use as a temporary cover while you are getting your other ingredients ready. This is a triangle measuring cup that has a standard cup, ounces, and milliliter measurements depending on which side of the world the recipe comes from. Does it pour correctly? It does but I do have to use the proper hand positioning to any glass distortions. You do get used to it. The Likes: Raised measurement lines. I never have to worry about printed lines disappearing after multiple times in the dishwasher or hand washing. The Measurement lines are accurate. It's Glass, it's tough and well made. I have dropped it while hand washing no chips at this time. The pour issue...If I want to control the pour...I just go slower. Accurate placement of the pour is not an issue. Do I love this measuring cup...Yes, and I have purchased 2 more. Do I use plastic measuring cups? I do but not for liquids where I need for accurate measurements. I have used it everyday for over a month.

Best Measuring Cup on the Market!
At 75 years old, I have had many measuring cups including those with the red letters and numbers that disappear; making them useless for measuring anything. I wanted a glass measuring cup with the numbers etched into the glass. This has met my specifications. I used this cup every day. It is handy for more than just measuring. It has the pour lips that makes it easy to use. It comes with a top that is wonderful if you need to store something liquid. I would highly recommend this measuring cup. I would give it a 10, if there was one.

Glass measuring cup is outstanding, but the lid not so much
The pour glass measuring cup is high quality and heavy duty, with a weighted bottom and embossed measurements. However, I bought this specifically to have a measuring cup with a well-functioning lid. The lid is the reason why I deducted 2 stars. I would suggest the manufacturer make it out of silicone instead of plastic. I could not get the lid to stay secure on all three pour lips at the same time. If you are looking for a great lid, I found a silicone replacement lid for my standard Anchor glass 1-cup measuring cup which works great.

Accuracy that won't wash off
Ever tried to measure 5 ounces, when the cup is marked at 2, 4, 6, and 8? Or tried to guess where the markings are when about 70% of the line has faded/washed to obscurity? This marvelous cup solves both problems. The marking lines are built into the glass -- and you can measure any way you want. There are three sets available -- Ounces (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8), or Cups (1/8, 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4, 1), or Milliliters (25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200, 225, 250). It's also sturdy. I have one for my pond chemicals; I dropped it one day and my heart sank as it hurtled toward the ground, but it didn't even chip or crack. The slim design takes up less room on the shelves and in the dishwasher than wider styles. I have two for the kitchen; I'm ordering 2 more because I use them so often I don't always have a clean one -- and my bigger, more awkward cups just don't compare anymore. A few reviews have mentioned that the lid doesn't fit tightly. Since other measuring cups don't have lids, I don't consider this a problem. People have been measuring liquids and pouring them into another container for mixing for generations. The advantages of this cup far outweigh any quibble about a tight lid -- particularly since I actually need 5 ounces of pond chemical, and one of my cookie recipes calls for 5 ounces of milk. Accuracy for the win!

Top quality and durable food preparation item
I like the durability of the item and its clear, clean-lines glass, with NO painted-on measuring capacity numbers and letters on the item at all - they are purely -in-built- on the glassware itself and so much better than painted-on measuring stats. I use the measuring jug to measure milk and other liquids for my home-baking and the 3-lipped pouring rim is very useful in that I can pour from whichever angle I pick up the measuring jug from my work counter. This is a very neat and useful piece of glassware design and manufacturing from Anchor Hocking. Another significant USA production, which in itself represents the flair and innovation of USA thinking, design and manufacture. All good.

Bit rustic but does its job and markings are embossed
I've had measuring cups that have printed on markings that can come off. That was the main reason why I bought this cup with embossed markings. Its a heavy cup, really solid, and I like the 3 pour spouts. The markings on the bottom says that it is made in the USA, but its a bit rustic with some rough edges which kind of adds to its charm. Overall, it does its job and I am happy.

Saludos.
