It doesn't "burn" the hair. Instead it dissolves it at the base and you scrap, or wipe it away. It did irritated the skin, which is very uncomfortable. The problem is it doesn't work well at all. If you want to clean up "down there" use lots of bar soap and a razor. Works much better

Yes. Keep in mind that you may have to leave on a little longer than suggested. I would test a small area first.
