I'll start by saying that this has been a true blessing for my two year old Border Collie. I adopted Fin towards the end of May 2020 and he came to me with really bad dandruff. We're talking big flakes of skin coming off on his back and near and around his tail. He has a docked tail which had scaly skin as well. He was constantly itching and scratching. I purchased this product to be used in addition to regular grooming with a brush and furminator, wet rub downs with a shampoo for sensitive skin (he doesn't trust the bathtub yet) and changing his diet to a sensitive skin and stomach product. He's was 50 pounds when I first got him and we did two treats a day. I wanted to have him on it for about a month before making any judgments/ review cause it takes time to adjust to all the above. In the last 4 weeks his dandruff has almost disappeared, with regular exercise he has lost 5 pounds, no longer itches and is happy as a clam. He initially didn't care for the taste of the treats but I noticed if I feed them before his breakfast he is much more interested and does eat them without any issues or spitting out. He now gets excited when I open the cub-board to get his treats (I continue to feed him two each morning)! (Please keep in mind that he is a rescue and his initial disinterest may also have been due to lack of trust to me and not based on taste of the treats themselves since he now loves them). I have been rotating between two of their flavors, omega salmon and allergy relief. My GSD was itching herself to near baldness, I am half way through each one and her hair is growing back in full force. Twice as thick than before when I had thought her coat was already healthy, super soft compared to what her coat was. She does have bit extra dandruff, but I am pretty sure that is due to the extra hair growth. She still is a little itchy, but she sleeps better, her hair is not breaking off and she has but more spunk in her step during the day. She loves the flavors, she starts doing her tricks, rolling, spinning trying to shake your hand and playing dead once she hears the container get picked up. I had no issues with her daily land mines or any stomach issues. Which I was afraid of since she has so many good allergies. Overall I am super pleased with this product. I am hoping the dandruff gets better when her hair is finished filling in. I wish I could post before and after photos but my phone signs me out everytime I try to pick photos and I am tried of redoing this review. Super sorry. 😕 But I am not a bot and only really do reviews on items that I am happy with it super not happy with otherwise I just give stars. I did not know if I could use the two flavors together if that would be too much, so I just decided to give her 3 of one, one day and then 3 of the other the next day and back and forth. At first I was just giving her the salmon omega, about a week into it I started switching. That's when I really noticed the positive growth and less itching.

May be a little early to tell, but they seem to be helping my dog's itching. She's eating them without a fight, which is a plus. They also aren't upsetting her stomach like the fish oil soft gels I had to fight with her to take. The reason for the 4 star rating is the price. A little pricey for what turns out to be a 45 day supply. I'll keep getting them because my dog needs them. I'm retired so I'll have to tighten my finances a little.

My dogs love these. From the beginning they accepted that these were treats. I have a long haired chiweenie, Renny, and a taco terrier, Brady. Renny has a bad back knee. He was a puppy when I got him and I was thankful I bought these and the hemp hip supplements as well. Initially, I had a little trouble with the hip supplements, they were iffy about taking them and I had to augment the flavor, but they take both easily as their morning treat after their first walk of the day. Renny didn't like to jump up or down and often had days where he was in obvious amounts of pain. With these supplements and some animal husbandry knowledge from the farm his final growth spurt to maturity went beautifully. Renny was the worse of my two rescues but he's no longer under weight, he jumps, his coat is beautiful, his bowel movements are perfect, and he wins more often than Brady when they play. People don't think enough about supplements and good nutrition for their dogs. You would for the people in your life so why not animals? On the farm, we know that our working animals need certain nutrients and vitamins to perform. Why wouldn't you for your dog, at least at the beginning and end of their life cycle when they need it the most? You've gained a new, loyal customer in me. I have 3 pups, and they are all currently sharing the bottle I bought. First time trying a salmon oil product, and they all love it so far! I crumble one up in each of their food bowls twice a day. Kind of like a topper for their meal. They gobble it up, and their fur this week has gotten so much more soft and silky since they started taking the salmon treats. My one pup had EPI and can only have certain foods. Salmon oil is one thing that is helpful for her condition, which is why I purchased it in the first place. But I share it with the other 2 as well. They are both twelve, and it has also helped their coats improve. I will definitely purchase more in the future! l will also look into some other products Pet Honesty has.
