I didn't do any comparisons, so hard to say if I could get anything better under 1000. Bought it because it was logitech. Wanted something for casual browsing and youtube viewing. Does the job. If you want to listen to music for long duration, skip it and buy something more expensive. Pros: Cheap Good mids. Voices sound clear. No artifical boomy bass unlike many other systems in this price range. Cons: Highs are tinny and lows are missing.

After treading through a plethora of desktop/shelf speakers, I finally settled on this one from Logitech. I must admit my choice was initially biased due to its appearance(looks fantastic) but I didn't really get carried away and did a thorough comparison with my other potential options (JBL and Creative) . Be warned that I wasn't looking for Bluetooth,wireless,USB or other such fancy options, my choice was limited to choosing a speaker with decent sound quality for my web-based music/video needs Verdict : The sound quality is great for the price offered if it is strictly confined to your living room.The bass response is good enough too. All in all its a good choice,will make you dance when you are listening to your favourite songs while taking a shower

Good reproduction for this price. I read poor review of these on bass response. I am not sure about synthesized very low frequency bass notes, but I could not recognize much distortion for normal bass instruments – percussion, string ... As usual for good performance play it on mid volume, ensure the body is not touching anything ... do not judge the performance using a poor input signal.

Product is gud, but Bass is not awesome. NOT Loud enough . However, i can say gud product to its Price one draw back is that its no where its mentioned that i have to plug in the charger to Speakers all the time to Play Music :(

Looks very good, sounds OK but no Bass at all. The diaphragm is exposed (my previous logitech speaker had a grill to protect it), so If you have little kids be extra careful, they may damage it.
